Vancouver General Contractors

My wife and I recently bought a 1950s home in Vancouver and hired Vancouver General Contractors for a full home renovation, including adding a basement suite. From the start, we were impressed with how professional and organized they were. The whole process felt very transparent and well structured. Sal walked us through the process and helped us get started with the design phase. The 3D renderings were extremely helpful, and the pricing was detailed with different options so we could choose what worked best for us. They also handled all the engineering and city permits, which made things much easier. During construction we worked with Joey, our project manager, who was excellent. He was very communicative, detail-oriented, and handled the trades really well. We made several changes during the project and he took care of everything smoothly. Jessica, the interior designer, was also great and helped us choose materials and finishes that turned out even better than we expected. We especially love how the kitchen and bathrooms turned out. We’re very happy with the final result and would definitely recommend Vancouver General Contractors to anyone planning a full home renovation.

VGC has been wonderful working with from initial design to completion. I was blessed to be paired with Kia my project manager. Communication was key, he was always available via phone or text. They even did all the strata communication and approvals for me. Their online project portal was always updated with daily photos of the progress and what was done. It was nice having it all in one place. They are high quality, take pride in their work, and make sure you are satisfied. Highly recommend for a remodel!

Condo Reno Yaletown Taking on a full renovation was a big step for us and we began the process feeling both excited and understandably nervous. Now that it’s complete we can honestly say we are incredibly grateful we chose VANCOUVER GENERAL CONTRACTORS INC. From the very beginning, and organization gave us real confidence. The design team, led by Fernanda, was outstanding. She brought creativity, professionalism and patience to EVERY decision, truly listening to our ideas while elevating the overall design beyond what we had envisaged. Kia, our project manager, ensured everything ran smoothly from start to finish.Communication was excellent, timelines were respected and every detail was handled with skill, knowledge, care and pride. The renovation was completed on schedule and came in only slightly over budget ( due to our decision to add a few extra things to our project) - but completely within reason and well justified by the quality of workmanship and finishing. The final result exceeded our expectations in EVERY meaningful way, both aesthetically and in craftsmanship. We are absolutely thrilled with our new space and would wholeheartedly recommend VANCOUVER GENERAL CONTRACTORS INC. To anyone considering a renovation, With Gratitude, Leona & Bernard T.

I highly recommend Vancouver General Contractors. Even though I have worked with many other excellent trades specialists before, I chose to work with Vancouver General Contractors for several reasons: 1. Outstanding project management: Ryan Kaila was courteous, responsive, and professional. His clear communication and proactive approach made the renovation stress-free. 2. Transparency: Daily updates, photos, and detailed cost breakdowns were consistently shared. 3. Design support: Their in-house designer, Jessica, collaborated closely with the team and provided valuable on-site guidance. 4. Excellent first impression: Michael Kus, whom I met at the BC Home and Garden Show, was approachable, knowledgeable, and inspired confidence in choosing VGC.
