We hired McCormick Home Improvement to remodel our kitchen in 2024. We currently have a functioning kitchen, but we were not satisfied with the tile work during installation and when this was addressed with Chris and his wife, he came back and ripped out some sections and then reinstalled the tiles with his fingers to spread the grout. He never used a level or the proper tools for the install. When addressed with them again they wanted payment and threatened a lawyer instead of contracting a tile person to fix the problem. Being frustrated I paid them with the intention of hiring a tiler to fix the problem when we Reno our bathroom. They also painted the kitchen, but we repeatedly needed to have them touch up the paint and I had to fix the drywall in some areas because they reportedly don’t do that. The ceiling was also required multiple pass overs to try to even out the texture. There is still a spot around the fixture that needs paint. We have also found some cut corners since the install, including loose wiring behind the stove and the wrong outlet installed for the dishwasher. Because the wall wasn’t insulated properly the pipe froze, as well. Details, including filing the gaps between the cabinet and wall with grout, were omitted. All of these things have cost us more money and my time to correct. I would not recommend McCormick Home Improvement if you are looking for a contractor who is detail oriented and does not cut corners to save money on the job.
We hired McCormick home improvement to take down a pony wall and install new flooring throughout our house. They were very responsive and always punctual and completed the whole project within three and a half days! Coming from someone who really cares about aesthetics, they were always quick to handle any concerns I had and we love how it came out! Thank you Chris, Kevin, Kristen, & team!
We are so pleased with the work McCormick Home Improvement did on our kitchen renovation. This was a huge project for us and the McCormicks were so kind to work with from the start. Their communication was on point and they were so respectful through the entire process. The timing of the project was delivered just as they said…they are extremely reliable. If we had any changes or new ideas during the renovation, they worked with us and executed them better than we hoped. We are so happy with how our kitchen turned out!
McCormick Home Improvement did a fabulous job installing my new half-bath and framing in a new door on my first-floor master bedroom. Although this was a small job for them, we felt just as important and well taken care of as if it had been a major remodel. The quote was fair and accurate, and Chris did a great job figuring out how to maximize the very small space he had to work with. The work was completed on time. The guys were very professional, and they were very thorough in their clean-up when they left each day. We could not be happier with the whole process, and would recommend MHI to anyone!
