Southern star roofing is a great company to work with from my first phone call to get an estimate to the completion of my roof. I found the roofers were hard working from the moment they started until they left and my new roof looks great. I highly recommend this company!
Southern Star Roofing did an excellent job installing our new metal roof. We love it! I do recommend getting a larger color sample to double check the color before ordering. We originally ordered what I thought was a dark blue roof from the tiny sample. When it arrived it was vastly lighter and brighter than we expected. We hated it. We couldn’t live with that color. Everyone agreed that perhaps the sample did look darker on the brochure and in the tiny sample than it looked in bright sunlight on our house.Best Buy Metals (metal supplier) was contacted to see what could be done. Best Buy Metals said it was the color we ordered and they couldn’t do anything to help us. We ended up ordering another roof in black, paying an additional $12,000 for that second roof, making our new roof at total of $42,000, instead of $30,000.We were very disappointed that there was no other solution to lessen the blow. In fact it was proposed to Best Buy Metals that perhaps the blue roof could be donated to the local hurricane relief and rebuilding effort for a tax credit/writeoff, but they were not interested in helping the community or us.Our salesman Greg Martinson did work tirelessly to make sure we were happy with the new roof in the end. We were very pleased with him and with the crew that came to install our roof. The crew was polite and took their time to make sure it was correct.After the fact we understand we should have asked to go see the blue roof in person before ordering it. We do believe if we had even seen a larger example of the color, like 1/2 a sheet, we would have seen it looked bad for our home, and decided to change to black before spending $12,000 on blue metal that is now lying in my yard.Photo is of the ‘dark blue’ roof meant to match the shudders. Do you think it matches?
They were on time, fast, and efficient. They answered my calls and questions in a timely manner and my house turned out amazing. We had roof and gutters replaced. Neighbor up the street ended up liking my roof so much he ended up putting on a roof too.

After getting five estimates and working with Greg, they gave me a great estimate for top of the line skylights. Greg took the time to match my shingles exactly and the crew installed them on a sunny afternoon and cleaned up the area. I would recommend Southern Star for all your roofing needs!
