A&J Roofing replaced our home's shingles and gutters/downspouts and the bottom line is that they worked on the project as if it were their own home. It's an important, big job that comes with a price tag, but you want these elements to be true: The cost fair, the products excellent, the installation professional, and the result as effective as it is beautiful. A&J was not the only company we consulted with but their price came in best (lowest) for the highest-grade products and all the other elements were achieved without fail. Also, the communication was excellent. We had a lot of questions before and along the way and they were always patiently answered and the answers always turned out true. The available options, products, and recommendations were fully explained. Not only was owner Jose there to explain and to learn our wants, he was also on-site, on the roof working, around the yard, making sure things were done right. He also went out of his way to get the shingles we wanted when others said they were unavailable, pulled the permit included in the price when others would add it on, and was there to make sure the ordered items and their colors were spot-on before anything incorrect was installed. And when it was all done, with a good post-work clean-up, two things happened: Other neighbors came, saw, and wanted A&J's contact information. Then, Jose contacted me, wanting to know what we thought of the work, and to say here's still available if we have any more questions. We had no idea about A&J before this started beyond a friend's recommendation. In the end, since I can't give 6 stars, 5 will have to do.
A&J won the job after obtaining several quotes. They were not only the most affordable, but provided us with great customer service. Shawn was with us throughout the process and present for the install crew. Only regret: not using A&J for siding we had replaced a couple of years ago!
Worked with Shawn after a home expo. He was fantastic and knew all of the moves in detail, he worked closely with the insurance adjuster and was great at communicating updates. I was very pleased with their service and looking forward to being a return customer in the future.
A&J Roofing is the real deal. I’ve been in construction 20+ Years and this is the way you run a business!!! Jose is extremely honest, knowledgeable, and well involved in day to day operations . This a a company that you don’t look away from if you want honest, trustworthy, and professional work done. They patched existing roof vents and cut in ridge venting. They also did gutters , downspouts, and some facia work. For whay it’s worth all of this was done out of pocket and well worth the money. Jose has an amazing team behind him and wish him the best moving forward!
I typically don’t write reviews good or bad but in this case I felt I needed to give A&J props. They recently completed my roof in the northwest suburbs with Malarkey shingles. Looks great! Shawn was super easy to communicate with and the work was done in a timely/clean manner. Will definitely recommend to others.
