H-Street Roofing

Our roof started leaking right over my son's room. He was not happy about the bucket situation. I called H-Street Roofing in a bit of a panic and they understood the urgency completely. They were careful around my wife's garden. Even put boards down to protect the grass from the ladders. The roof inspection involved replacing about 30 damaged shingles on the south side of the house where the sun really beats down. They color matched perfectly and you honestly can't tell which ones are new. The office was easy to reach when I had questions before the job. Actual humans picking up the phone, not endless voicemail loops. Such a relief. I used to dread rainy days because I'd be checking ceilings for stains. Now I don't even think about it. That peace of mind is worth everything. I'm telling everyone I know about H-Street Roofing. Good companies deserve recognition.

My HOA actually has a list of recommended vendors. H-Street Roofing was on it, and I can see why. I calculated the cost per square foot and compared it to what others in my neighborhood paid. H-Street Roofing was right in line, maybe even a bit less for equivalent quality. The shingle repair was more involved than I expected. They had to work around my solar panels which added complexity, but they handled it without any issues. I was expecting to wait weeks for an opening in their schedule but they were able to get me in relatively quickly. Maybe I just got lucky with timing. I'm the type who likes to know what's happening, and they were great about keeping me informed. Any time there was a decision to make, they explained my options clearly. Long review, I know. But they earned every word of it.

As a property manager, I need contractors who show up when they say they will and do quality work. H-Street Roofing checks both boxes. Some roofers in the area have flashy ads but questionable work. H-Street Roofing is the opposite - low-key marketing but stellar results. They said the job would take two days and it took exactly two days. Crew arrived at 8am both mornings and wrapped up around 5pm. Right on schedule. They found some rotted decking under the old shingles that I had no idea about. Rather than just cover it up, they replaced those sections properly before putting down the new roof. H-Street Roofing has a customer for life. And probably a few more from all my referrals.

Water was coming through the ceiling during my daughter's birthday party. Talk about bad timing. H-Street Roofing saved the day the next morning. The permit process added a few days but they handled all of that and kept me updated on the status. Once they were cleared, they were at my house the next morning. the crew noticed my Ring camera and actually pointed at it and waved when they got there. Small thing but it made me chuckle and set a good tone. My roof failed during the pandemic when everything was chaos. H-Street Roofing still made time to help us out when we really needed it. I'm glad companies like H-Street Roofing still exist. Honest work at honest prices, and they actually stand behind it.

I'm 68 and still pretty sharp, but home repairs aren't my strong suit. H-Street Roofing explained everything in terms I could understand without being condescending. I can see the roof from my upstairs window and every time I look at it I'm reminded what a good decision this was. Clean lines, solid work, no regrets. The difference between a good roofing company and a great one is in the details. H-Street Roofing is definitely in the great category based on my experience. Not much else to say other than they did good work and I'm happy. Sometimes it really is that simple.
