D.C United has been fantastic from starting Quote to finished job!Jeff came by to do our quote and with his personality and professionalism he sold us on choosing D.C United to do our new shingles.Dustin was the contact I had for setting up the day the crew arrived and also was there day of to check up on the roofing crew but also was the one who finished the final touches. He is super easy to communicate with and explains everything very clearly and was there whenever I had any questions.Ilia and his team did the removal and installation of the new shingles. Extremely hard workers that pushed through the whole day and did a great job with installation also they did a great job cleaning up after the work was done.These three individuals made this experience very easy and not as daunting as we originally were thinking it would be.Thank you very much for all of your hard work and service!
Had some work done by other company a year ago and roof constantly leaked so I reached out to DC United Roofing. Rob came out and figured out the issue fast and gave me an inspection report and quote in the same day. The guys that showed up did a phenomenal job. There has been many rain falls and snow with no leaks. I can sleep peacefully at night now during rain thanks to DC United Roofing and Rob for the speedy service
I would highly recommend D.C United Roofing for your next roofing project. They are very professional and fast. They clean up all materials that are removed from your existing roof and haul it away. Plus, they work in the winter also! I couldn't be any happier with my new black metal roof. Excellent service!
UPDATE (June 8, 2022): DC United did finally resolve the multiple issues we had with our roofing installation. I believe they were genuine in their shock and disappointment in the experience we had with them. I do hope none of their future customers have to go through what we did, but I am happy that they did fix all of the "BAD" points I listed below, and we can both move on from here.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I am honestly very shocked that I am writing this negative review. The initial consultation from your estimator coupled with the outstanding Google reviews made my wife and I feel very confident that we had selected the best roofing company for the job. After a 2 week installation and almost $18,000 later, we are very unhappy that this is not the case.Rather than going through all of the good/bad items in detail, please see my outline below.GOOD- quoting process was great. Friendly and thorough.- quality of the product (we think) is goodBAD- were told we had some plywood that was spongy and would need replaced, but that did not get done- had to call DC United back when they were "done" to clean out our eaves as they were full of asphalt and nails- in late October, one of my drains in the upper roof was plugged with shingle debris and nails, blocking the water drainage (I had to go on the roof and clean the eaves)- had to call DC United back to clean around the property as there were nails and shingle pieces everywhere- had to call DC United back to put sealant over the exposed roofing nails...there are still a number still exposed, and maybe more that I can not see (see image)- there are smashed in soffits that happened when removing the shingles (see image)- there is an ugly horizontal line going across the roof where the shingles are not staggered, so it looks horrible (see image)- was told an inspector would come by to check out the work, but never happened- have not received warranty informationSent an email in the fall, finally had a response after a few attempts. Was called and told someone would be out, but it never happened.Spending $18,000 on a new roof should give the homeowner piece of mind that their home should be safe from leaks for many years to come, but we do not feel that way. I honestly am more concerned now than I was before the roof was re-shingled.
