Twin Peaks just replaced our roof yesterday and did an amazing job. They were very professional and easy to communicate with throughout the process. Max also went above and beyond by giving me honest advice about our insulation. I thought we would require a full replacement but he assured me we only needed a top-up which saves us a significant amount of money. Highly recommend!

We had the unfortunate experience dealing with Irish roof scammers who claimed they were from Newfoundland. While cruising the Oakville neighborhood in their pickups, they were considerate enough to inform us we had shingles missing. They handed out a glossy brochure with the name Guideline Roofing which contained two fictitious addresses.

They even offered to do a free roof inspection and came back down with pictures of photo shopped damaged roofs that weren't ours. They went up, damaged our eavestroughs and used crow bar and sledgehammers to punch holes in the plywood and lift roof shingles. Their owner claimed that there was a family of racoons that had gotten in through the rotting plywood.

Then they wanted $3,800 cash to fix the damage they caused because "ethically" they couldn't leave it like that - they were looking out for our best interest. Watch out for these guys although they are likely operating under multiple corporate names. Never pay them cash up front because they'll expand the project or walk away with the cash never to be seen again. They didn't get a plugged nickel from us, however they got very aggressive when we said we never wanted see their faces on our street again. Meanwhile we have filed a police report.

When we called Ben of Twin Peaks Roofing for a quote, he offered to go up and have a look at the situation. When he came back down he confirmed that the scammers had punched six holes in our roof. He offered to immediately tarp 1/4 of the roof as there were several days of rain in the forecast.

From there we got two prices from legitimate roofing contractors. We are grateful that we awarded the installation of the plywood/shingle & eavestroughs and gutter to Twin Peaks Roofing. They did an outstanding and professional job with the best overall price. Max and his team demonstrated very effective communication, planning and execution. They gave us advice on color combinations as well that turned out to look amazing.

We received quotes from 5 roofing teams and we are so happy that we chose Max and his team to replace our roof. Only Max crawled into our attic to see the roofing issues from the inside out, while some very reputable firms not only did not step into the attic, but only sent a drone up to look at the roof. One very reputable firm sent a quote without even visiting the site. Others did not seem concerned about the issues. We knew that Max was the most knowledgable and could stand behind his quote since he knew the scope of the entire project. We delayed in booking and although Max was incredibly busy he worked to fit us in before winter and his team arrived and completed the work even though the temperatures were below freezing and yes there was some early November snow! The crew was polite, efficient, on time and hard working. Since we are in Toronto with houses very close by, this crew was especially considerate of both neighbouring properties ensuring that tarps were up to prevent errant shingles from entering their yards The scope of the work was complicated, with the added removal and new install of a cracked skylight, the full removal of the old shingles and 27 sheets of moldy plywood. The cleanup was meticulous and the work was completed on time and within budget. Max also completed some extra paperwork for us and answered all of our questions and calls- he was incredibly patient with our demands and he was on-site throughout the entire time arriving before the crew and ensuring that everything went smoothly. He also worked closely with our attic insulation team and answered their calls and sent a team to work with the insulation team to ensure that everything was vented properly...after the roofing job was completed! That level of attentiveness from start to finish is often unheard of today and that sealed for us a 5 star experience with this firm and we have owned and sold and renovated 10 homes in our 42 years of home ownership.

I'm 52 and this is the third time in my life I've experienced perfection from sales through to service (see my other AMJ review). Our roof leaked after a bad storm and caused interior damage which the insurance company said was 'user error' so they wouldn't cover it. We got 4 quotes, TP was not the cheapest or most expensive, but the sales experience was great. Informative, quick and the service that followed was bang on.

Our roof was in bad shape, 15 years old and lots of 'duct tape' fixes by the previous owner so there were a few nice surprises once they removed the old shingles.

Crew ploughed through the work in less than a day and they used a magnetic roller to make sure there wasn't any scrap left behind which is better than the window company we had who left a bunch of nails in our driveway ruining 3 of my tires within a week.

Anyway, the quality of work was great, they didn't oversell anything and replaced a bunch of plywood from a bunch of minor leaks, all the venting, installed 2 new vents and re-flashed the chimney and skylight.

The only error was one of the guys left a charger behind. Definitely would recommend and we'll hire them again to do our eaves and soffets in the future.
