If I could give zero stars, I would.JDM replaced our roof approximately two years ago, and it is already leaking. A roof should not fail this quickly,regardless of any warranty.Although they claim to offer a 10-year warranty, we did not trust them to repair the damage because:1. A roof should never be leaking after 2–3 years, and2. We previously asked them to fix other issues, which were never properly addressed.The leaks have been occurring for some time and resulted in mouldy insulation that had to be fully replaced. Another roofing company inspected the attic and documented multiple serious issues, including:• Incorrectly installed flashing causing leaks• An extractor vent they installed that caused cold drafts• Mould on the attic walls• Additional installation problems that should never have passed inspectionI contacted the owner directly and provided photo evidence. He refused to take responsibility and then stopped responding entirely. The bare minimum would have been a reply.Based on how the owner has responded to other negative reviews, I expect he may try to deflect blame here as well, but the facts remain:A roof should not leak after only a couple of years.We are now paying out of pocket to fix problems that should never have existed in the first place.Do not hire this company.
During the most recent atmospheric river, our cabin's roof started to leak. I called several places but didn't get a response. I called JDM and spoke to Jim. Jim was polite and professional and assured us that in spite of the significant challenges presented to his workers (due to closed highways and flooding), they would get a man to look at our roof. This was done right on time and the problem was fixed. The next day part 2 of the atmospheric river started and our roof was leak free. We had a great experience with JDM and full heartedly endorse JDM as a company that is trustworthy and professional.
We had a small leak from a 30 year old skylight. JDM Roofing provided an inspection on the day I called and replacement the next day. Five stars and two thumbs up!
