I would like to personally thank Joe Cox, Benito Castellon, and Jose Marten who exemplify the adage that "not all heroes wear capes".

In the beginning, I had consulted Columbia Roofing Inc., for consideration of a snow rail system as the snowcrete this winter completely overpowered my existing snowguards. The saying goes that "Man plans, God laughs" as a high wind event subsequently necessitated a complete roof replacement.

I called Joe at 1700 on a Friday Afternoon and to my surprise, he was on site within 20 minutes and was able to assemble a crew to secure my roof and affect emergency tarping/temporary repairs within 12 hours.

After completing the insurance process and obtaining HOA approval, I was able to schedule my roof replacement within a week. The replacement gutters and downspouts were installed the day after the roof.

Joe, Benito, and Jose were there from project start to project finish. In working with Melissa as well, the process was seamless. The pricing and the workmanship was fantastic.

Repeat customer here: I could not be more pleased with the recent quality work and professionalism of Columbia Roofing Incorporated and their employees, specifically Mike Sr, Melissa, Courtney, Wilfred and Eric. I used CRI a few years ago to replace the roof on my Annapolis home with CertainTeed Presidential Shingles and install a Velux skylight. CRI did a truly outstanding job and we now have the nicest roof in the neighborhood. Late last fall I had a BGE energy audit conducted and among other things I had my attic sealed and reinsulated by the audit contractor. I placed two wireless thermometers in my attic and learned that the temperatures were exceeding 130 degrees with outside air temperatures in the 80’s. It was clear that the eaves on my roof did not have enough intake ventilation to allow ambient air to flow up to my CertainTeed ridge vents. This was a design flaw in the construction of my home built 45 years ago. I contacted CRI and spoke with Mike Sr. to discuss the issue. We discussed a few options, but long story short, and without hesitation, I contracted with CRI once again to resolve this ventilation issue. Unfortunately, cold weather set in and the project needed to wait until spring. With the recent warmer temperatures Mike Sr. sent the CRI “A” team of Wil and Eric who removed my eave soffit siding and inspected for intake ventilation. Upon removal there was solid plywood with very little intake vent space. My attic had been starving for air since the house was constructed. Will and Eric worked very well as a team and cut out wide ventilation spaces in the eave plywood and installed CertainTeed Triple 3-1/3” InvisiVent soffit. The eaves look better than ever, and my attic can now breathe. I am already seeing cooler attic temperatures – problem solved! Also, during this time, I had the CRI “A” team install a Velux sun tunnel in our master bedroom which was very dark – but no more. Beautiful daylight now fills our bedroom. Bottom line: You can trust CRI to perform high-quality work with great customer service at a fair market cost. CRI is a very good company - do not hesitate to contract with them!

We’ve used Columbia Roofing to replace our roof, install new/replacement skylights, replace double-hung windows, add a double-hung window, install a sun tunnel, and build a large bay window. They have been professional, efficient, and friendly! CRI pays attention to the large and small details and delivers a quality, beautiful product. Great company with excellent customer service that performs quality work! They replaced the roof on my Baltimore row home years ago, upgrading it from multiple layers of poorly applied tar to a rubber roof. It remains the nicest roof in our old Canton neighborhood! I have since moved to Highland in Howard County and had an unusual project (water leaking through floor of outdoor patio off of second floor bedroom) which I contacted Columbia Roofing to take care of. Recognizing the need to get the leak sealed immediately, they came out and temporized to prevent any further water damage until they could fit me into their schedule. The finished job was outstanding! Highly recommend this company for any roofing needs!
