Absolutely the worst work we have ever had done. They sold us on ventilation that they then installed improperly. After six months and the winter hit our attic was like a sauna. They put eye brow vents below the warm wall and they didn't have the ridge vent cut properly or enough installed. After they looked at it they said they were not ventilation experts and we needed to seek help else where. After having it inspected by over 7 different companies, they all confirmed the same thing. We then had to go through mediation to get it resolved. They came to fix it and didn't do it correctly three times. From what we could tell it was done it was completed but we are not roofers or contractors. Months later we can see they didn't do the job properly and now are going to have to go get help from a different company. I strongly recommend you do not use Renaissance Roofing and tell your friends, even though they seemed like they knew what they were talking about thousands of dollars later it is clear they do not.

I stand by my word, when I say it was not done correctly I mean when they were supposed to cover up the ridge vent, they did so with just the shingles, no plywood was put down first. We did get outside help because Renaissance claims they are not ventilation experts, even though they sell customers on ventilation. There is a calculation for intake and out take to make it so your attic is the correct atmosphere. So yes we got the recommendation from and "Expert" and that was correct. After going through the CCB and mediation and they came to fix the work they had to come back a number of times to fix it properly. This has nothing to do with the bathroom remodel. I am speaking up so others know my experience and know to ask the correct questions and look for mistakes. I am also speaking my mind because I believe Renaissance and all roofers should be qualified ventilation experts, this would not only make companies more money but provide the kind of service everyone could use. So thanks for putting this into "context" but I have no idea what you are talking about when you say "ventilation improvements were recommended during your service". You put in vents in the wrong area, and didn't put enough ridge vents and the small amount you did put in was not cut to spec, the amount of intake and outtake were way off. When the problem was recognized we were told, from Renaissance, we are roofers not ventilation experts so you need to seek help else where.

We recently purchased a home that has a warranty for a Renaissance Roof but it's only worth the paper it's printed on since the company charges a $350 inspection to evaluate how the roof is weathering. Other companies do a complimentary inspection/estimate or charge a more reasonable trip-fee of around $99-150. I spoke to a manager at the company and he said something to the effect of "How else are we going to make money"?
It's so disappointing because I want to support local small businesses... but that is to the degree that the business is mindful of also being in partnership with those in their communities. It would take most of us an entire day or two to earn $350. The $350 exploitative in that it is not commensurate with the time it takes them to come out and do their inspection.
I shared this perspective with the manager I spoke with and he was unmoved. He also needs some de-escalation training for himself or he should have someone more customer service savvy be the person to be the company's problem solver. I ended up hanging up on him since he kept talking over me. Well sir, you saved money on any repairs needed for our roof warranty because we won't be having you work on our roof. However, that is a shortsighted approach to business since word of mouth is the slow and steady way to build a business. We will share our experience with our neighbors.

I was given a price quote that seemed reasonable. They were communicative and kept to the schedule discussed. The crew arrived on time and were very courteous. They did a great job of cleaning up any debris from the job. They cleaned my gutters which was not in the quote. The roof looks great and my experience with the team was very good. They were considerate when their vehicle needed a jumpstart and asked politely if it was ok for them to wait there with their vehicle until someone could come and give them a jumpstart. I would definitely recommend them to friends and family.
