I live here in Fenton in a manufactured home. With the snow melting on the roof my skylight in my kitchen had a tiny, tiny little leak in the corner. Nothing major. I was freaking out. I called Chris from Hect Home Improvement and left a message with the answering service. He called me back in a timely manner. He talked to me on the phone for almost 45 minutes. I took a few pictures and sent them to his cell phone while we were talking. He told me it was nothing major and to get this black tar from Home Depot and tar around the skylight once everything is dry on the roof and I should have no problems at all. He said I was wasting my money if I replace the skylight and it could cause damage to my roof if I did that. He said if he thought it was something major he would come right out. He didn't try to oversell me anything and he knew exactly what I was talking about. He has been doing roofing for years and years. I read his reviews online before I called and there was not one bad review. That is the reason why I called. If you want an honest, forthright, experienced roofer and outside handyman for your home this is the guy to call. I could tell by talking to this guy on the phone for 45 minutes that he is not sketchy. 5 stars.
My plumber ran the vent pipe but no way was he going up on this steep roof. Way out here in Riley Twp Needing a roofer on a Saturday morning before the rain gets here,to put a boot on my vent pipe and flash it was asking allot. I called Chris at Hect Home Improvements and he came out himself within 2 hours and gave me a great deal too. Unbelievable Thank you Chris
Hect home did a great job on my roof! I felt so comfortable from the start while engaging with Drew. He explained all the products that were offered and the need of each product. He examined everything and was very honest from the start. The process was seamless up until after the roof was installed. Towards the end, it started to rain so maybe that was why more than a few nails were exposed around the house even after cleanup. I’ve made Drew aware of this during his final inspection and he cleaned most of the nails and the small things that was left over on the roof. With that being said, I would still recommend this company. I already let Drew know that I will be needing his services in the future. Thank you to the installers and thank you Drew for everything!
Chris and his crew did an awesome job replacing my roof. I noticed some decaying shingles the last time I was up there and after some research on google, I found Hect Home Improvements and gave them a call. Chris came out the very next day and took a look at my roof, sent me pictures of the different spots that were aging on my roof , and shared my options and advice that he had moving forward. He sent me a quote and I felt that it was an extremely fair price. Chris answered all the questions I had very promptly and was extremely great at communicating and taking pictures and keeping me in the loop during the entire process. I signed the proposal on a Friday, and by the end of the day on the VERY NEXT Friday I had a brand new roof. Chris’s team did an awesome job taking measures to protect various items I had surrounding my house from falling debris and then did a very thorough and extensive clean up after the fact. I was sent many pictures of the progress as they tore off and installed the new roof which was awesome to see and be kept in the loop. Everyone was very professional. Chris and his crew were awesome and I highly recommend anyone who is looking to have roof work done to give them a call. They definitely made the process of having to get a new roof as seamless and painless as possible for me. You can tell they know what they are doing and that it is a well run business. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Thanks for the new roof!
