We chose Veenkamp based on the wonderful reviews. Unfortunately we have been sorely disappointed and continue to receive sub-par communication.We hired Veenkamp in October of 2025 to replace our roof at their advisement that we had leaks that would need to be addressed with a new roof. A patch or partial replacement was not advised due to at minimum 3 leaks they mentioned at their initial consultation. We sought other roofing advice and 2 other companies also mentioned full replacements, while 2 others mentioned patching potential leaking spots or partial replacements. Veenkamp was chosen due to their description of their communication services, specifically their client portal which was supposed to include updates to the project schedule, pictures of the entire process start to finish, and overall gave us the best impression that communication would be immaculate. They failed in every regard to that communication. While we understand roofing is specific to weather, our project date was moved 3 times via email, via text, and then via phone call at various points to communicate to us. When the project finally did occur, it began at 7 AM on a Saturday with no warning about start time or confirmation that it would be happening on Saturday, as they mentioned weekends work usually wasn't started. We had previously communicated that safety for our pets in the home was one of our highest priorities and they continued to leave essential containment doors open and used parts of our backyard previously discussed to not be used. Had the date not been moved, we had prepared for them to be out of the house, but with the project date changed multiple times, we were not able to make last minute arrangements. The project also ended up taking longer than discussed, with the team having to come back multiple times to fix mistakes. We are now confirmed that no supervisor was present for the job and no one with a contractors license was present when the work was performed. I can appreciate post-completion apologies, but we still have a leak. When asked for pictures of the initial inspection to confirm where the leaks were so we can continue to investigate, we have not heard from the company for a week+ at this point.
We are so thrilled we chose Veenkamp! The crew members were some of the hardest workers I've ever seen. We had our entire house updated with new LP siding and gutters, and the results are fantastic. Jordan in sales was excellent to work with, as was our project manager, Tommy. High-quality work and great people. Highly recommend.

We hired Veenkamp to replace siding on our front dormers and three season room as well as adding siding to the 2nd story on the back of our home and the gable ends. This will drastically reduce the risk and time spent maintaining our log siding as we get older.We're super happy with the results! Jelly Bean and the Mongolian brothers did top notch work! Whether it was Andrés the Project Manager and his colleague Tommy, Wade the Owner, or Mondo and his outstanding Mongolian crew - everyone was professional and great communicators before, during, and after the project. We continue to get compliments on the job they did with our home, and though Veenkamp may be on the slightly higher end of the companies we received estimates from, the quality is incredible and it was well worth it. Andrés ESPECIALLY reached out several times to ensure the product delivery was in alignment to we were agreed to in our contract throughout the whole process.
