I have used Sheriff Goslin 3 times on different homes! Each time they did a fantastic job. Very professional and I feel like my roof is now safe and will protect my house.
We needed our roof replaced about 3 or 4 years ago. Looking for a company I could trust, I vagley remembered riding the bus in middle school and seeing the signs for Sherriff Goslin Roofing. I did a quick google search and saw they were still in business. I can see why! I reach out to them and Ryan Waldorf called me back. There have been several close family members get their roofs replace by them since. All the installs and service were top notch. One residence needed 4 extra follow up visits from their Technician about water leaks. Their patience with us diagnosed a chimney issue, not a problem caused by the roof install. Still they assisted in the fix once the chimney was resolved. We are all very happy customers!
4 years ago we had a company install a new roof at our rental property. Recently that same roof started to leak. When I reached out to them regarding the warranty on their work, they completely ghosted me. That’s when I made the decision to call Sherriff Goslin and I’m so happy I did! Matt was wonderful to work with. He returned my call immediately and was such a pleasure to work with. The problem was quickly diagnosed and repaired on the spot. No more leaks. I would highly recommend Sherriff Goslin for their professionalism and expertise. I can see why they have been in business for so many years.
I bought a historic home in the Stuart neighborhood with a distinct roof line - the Chappell-Stewart House – and I knew from the home inspection, my first task as the new steward of this house was to replace the damaged roof. I needed a roofing company that would honor the home's architecture and landscaping, comply with the historic district requirements, and replace it at a reasonable price. I also knew the steep pitch and jutting angles meant the crew would have to be very careful to avoid getting hurt. The salesperson, Matt, seemed to understand the importance of maintaining the exterior’s appearance, while also assuring his crew’s safety. We talked before the job started about assuring both goals, and I appreciated that he shared the plan with me.Sherriff Goslin wasn’t the cheapest quote, but they seemed to have the best knowledge and understanding about re-roofing a historic home. I’m so glad that I chose them for the project! They brought in a JLG to access the steep pitches – and the crew seemed very aware of the hazards and how to work safely – so there weren’t any accidents. They were also mindful of my fencing and landscaped yard. They even replaced some rotten boards on the wood fencing after they re-positioned the fence to get the JLG in and out.The salesperson, Matt, didn’t disappear after I signed the contract, either. He was on-site every day, texting updates and asking if I had any concerns throughout the project. I did not – in fact – I was quite impressed! Besides being safety-minded and diligent in working on the project, the crew were also respectful to myself and my 20-year-old daughter. Since she comes and goes to college alone each day, I really appreciate that the crew treated her with respect. The crew always greeted us with a smile and a wave, politely calling us “Ma’am,” and even pointed out Amazon deliveries amid the construction materials so we didn’t miss them. They were thoughtful about protecting the special features on my home (like the copper gutters and spokes), and other personal items, like statues, lanterns and Halloween decorations in my yard. They brought in a carpenter to replace some of the rotted wood pieces near the roof, and they painted it to match the exterior so it doesn’t look like anything has changed at all (which I appreciate, and the historic district requires!).I didn’t have to argue with them about fixing the concrete walkway that was inevitably damaged by the weight of the JLG – they just knew they would have to do that. How refreshing, after dozens of home improvement projects at my old house, where I had to argue with the contractors to fix whatever they had damaged! They got the roofing job done in four days – which is just amazing to me. They even helped me with another project – trying to figure out how the squirrels are getting into the house’s walls. The guys looked for squirrel holes while they worked, and we might have narrowed it down for the pest contractor to fix. Matt came back after the project was done, to make sure I was satisfied and answer any questions.I really felt like Sheriff Goslin had my best interests in mind throughout the whole project. Now my beautiful, 1890 gothic Victorian is protected under a brand-new roof! Thank you, Sherriff Goslin!
From start to finish Ryan Waldorf was very easy, quick, and professional to work with. Him and his team were able to inspect roof damage, provide quote, order supplies, and scheduled a crew around my schedule. It took them 1 day to tear off old shingles, replace some wood, re-shingle, and clean-up. No nails or tar were left laying around the house. Very pleased with the job.
