Brooke worked with our project and after inspection helped us file a claim with St. Farm who disagreed with our hail damage claim.Good News provided us with all the details showing the problems with our roof. The roof was put on in 8 hours with courteous and professional installers. A roof leak was fixed. I don’t write reviews. This one I just must. I have had numerous roofs replaced in the 40+ years I have owned homes. It has always been a stressful fight, and I have always felt taken advantage of - that is until I found Good News Roofing & Solar. Brook Vallejo was my project manager, Jesus was the lead installer, and Stephen (the owner) came by and introduced himself before we got started. Stephen came by again while they were installing the new roof, checked on the work, checked in again after cleanup, and once more weeks later to ensure all was still as it should be and I that had experienced no problems. Weeks later while Good News was doing my neighbor’s house, I saw Stephen carrying shingles to the haul away trailer and cleaning up debris from the yard while the crew was hard at work. What owner does THAT??? Jesus, my lead installer personally fixed several problems that remained from when the house was built (builder said it “had” to be that way). He also installed every shingle that faces the front yard, and did it with pride and perfection. He is absolutely a master installer and has worked in roofing for many, many years. His leadership and skills shine through in every job they do. Brooke is by far the most knowledgeable, professional, pleasant, polite, courteous, persistent and patient project manager I have ever dealt with. I had lots and lots of questions, to which she had or found lots and lots of answers. She was always available when I had a question, was eager to get up on the roof, worked directly with my insurance adjuster and literally did ALL of the insurance paperwork. All I had to do was sign my name. They sourced and installed exactly the shingles I wanted, added two solar powered vents in the attic ventilation system (they’re awesome at cooling the attic), replaced the rain gutters and downspouts, and even provided contractors to fix other issues from our storm damage. Good News did all they were supposed to and much, much more than they were required to. Above all, they did everything with a strong positive attitude, a can-do work ethic, on time and on budget. When the crew done with cleanup, Brook was still so focused on finding any remaining roofing nails in the yard I finally had to ask her to stop! While working, they took great care not to damage flower beds, vegetation and fences. When Good News was finished, the driveway and sidewalk were spotless. As mentioned earlier, I have seen this process more times than I wanted to, but I can tell you for certain that Good News IS THE BEST I HAVE EVER SEEN! They just don’t give up until the job is done as perfectly as humanly possible. Call them with confidence – you will love them. 5 Stars for Good News, and 6 stars for Brook and Jesus!!!
