Can’t say enough good things about James Kate. Had the pleasure of working with Dillon to get our original (1970 ish) tile roof updated which was quite the obstacle for years due to insurance etc. Dillon connected us with a public adjuster (was not provided that as an option in the eons of other roofing companies we called out for quote). Though going that route ultimately took longer, it would not have been possible to get a new roof without James Kate’s knowledge / expertise and patience. The roof replacement was a painless experience from start to finish and they completed is efficiently, quickly and cleaned up everything really well. I’d recommend James Kate over and over again. Don’t hesitate to contact them!
We needed a new roof and our insurance company referred us to James Kate and SO glad they did! Becky Rodriguez was such a delight to work with and so knowledgeable, I learned a lot about roofs! Becky was also very reachable and quick to supply roof and gutter samples for consideration and to answer any of our many questions. Becky also made great suggestions to help guide us through the whole roofing process. James Kate also includes staining of our fence for a whole packaged curb appeal! James Kate is a Christian company and it shows through their employees and their business model.We will be spreading the word to all our family and friends!
Before I decided to replace my roof I shopped around to a few different roofing companies. I had a few come to the house and walk my roof but I never really felt comfortable with any of them, then I discovered James Kate and everything changed. Becky Rodriguez, my contact with James Kate was wonderful. She kept us informed every step of the way and worked with us on many shingle colors and types including class 3 and class 4. She was a one-stop shop with her knowledge and expertise. The roof was replaced in its absolutely beautiful! We will continue to use James Kate going forward, and actually recommend them to all our friends (which we already have), because the company is exceptional and Becky, Rodriguez is awesome.
We were contacted by Becky Rodriguez from James Kate roofing.She was professional, knowledgeable and was a pleasure to work with. The crew was great and was able to remove and replace our roof in one day.The clean up was thorough there was very little debris found.All contacts with any employee was a pleasant experience.Hopefully we won’t need a new roof anytime soon. But if we do I will call James Kate to do the job!
James Kate replaced my roof back in 2017 and did a great job. After another storm hit our area earlier in 2025 I decided to use them again. They did not disappoint. They were here when the insurance adjuster reviewed the damage on the roof and helped make sure everything that should be covered, was covered. The communication with the team was very good. The teams that replace the roof are James Kate Employees, so they have a vested interest in doing a good job. In 2017 a gas line was nicked as a part of the work, JK paid for that repair back in 2017. During this project JK inserted a 2x4 in the area where the gas line runs to make sure it never happens again. They have a Project Manager onsite while the work is going on to manage the crew and deal with any issues that arise. They placed nets around the house to protect flower beds and other sensitive areas. The project took only 1 day. After they were done, the Project Manager ran a magnet through the entire yard to pick any loose nails. I found very little debris after they were done. The gutter company they used did a very good job including adding leaf guards to the gutters. We had a problem drainage area near the front door where water would run down the side of the house, I asked them to look at this as a part of the project and that is no longer an issue due to how the water is diverted to and received by the gutters. Fingers crossed this is the last roof for our house, but if something does happen again, I would not hesitate to use them again.
