????? Outstanding Experience – Ask for Steve Mitchell at Wortham Roofing

I cannot say enough good things about Steve Mitchell at Wortham Roofing. Steve was the representative who sold me the roof, but his role went far beyond that. He has been in the roofing industry for over ten years, and it shows—he truly knows his craft.

Important note: Wortham Roofing has more than one Steve, so be sure to ask specifically for Steve Mitchell. He is the one you want.

Steve was on-site throughout the entire roof installation, making sure everything was done to the highest standards. What really impressed me was how clearly he explained what had been done to my roof in the past—and more importantly, what was wrong and how his team was correcting it.

When I bought this home, the roof had been installed as a condition of the sale. What I didn’t know at the time was how poorly it had been done. Caulk had been used instead of proper flashing in some areas, existing flashing had never been replaced, the wrong roofing nails were used, and there were nine layers of underlayment with bad overlaps. There was also no ice and water shield at all. Every one of these issues was identified, explained, and properly fixed.

Ventilation was another major problem. The attic had a combination of ridge vents, passive vents, electric vent fans, and soffits—all working against each other and actually hurting energy efficiency. Steve explained why this setup was counterproductive and recommended a cleaner, more efficient solution. We ended up with ridge vents only and removed five vent fans. The roof now looks significantly better and performs far more efficiently.

Communication throughout the entire process was exceptional, cleanup was thorough, and the job was done right the first time. I have very high expectations and believe that things should be done correctly—not halfway. Finding people who take pride in their work can be challenging these days. Steve is not one of those challenges. He simply does it right.

I will never trust my home’s roof to anyone else. Thank you, Steve, for making what could have been a very stressful major repair completely painless.

I can’t say enough good things about my experience working with Chason Vale from Wortham Brothers Roofing. From start to finish, he went above and beyond to make sure my home and insurance claim were handled the right way.

Chason arrived on time, completed a thorough and honest inspection, and walked me through every step of the process—even in the intense Texas heat. He explained everything clearly, set realistic expectations and timelines, and made sure I understood every detail about the Owens Corning roofing system we were getting.

What really stood out was his professionalism and dedication during the insurance inspection. When the roof inspector claimed there was no visible damage, Chason calmly showed the adjuster photo evidence that proved otherwise. A few days later, my adjuster even told me that if it hadn’t been for Chason’s presence, persistence and knowledge, the claim likely would have been denied. Because of his efforts, our new roof was fully approved and bought through insurance.

He also helped coordinate some additional work around our home, and his team was prompt, efficient, and delivered quality results. Chason was easy to reach by phone or text, always responsive, and true to his word throughout the entire process.
