We had our roof replaced last fall by Urban Grid, and I truly can’t say enough good things about our experience.

From start to finish, they did an outstanding job. Replacing a roof is a huge project, but their team handled everything with impressive efficiency and professionalism. The crew on site had such a smooth, organized flow to their work; they were quick and efficient, yet it was obvious they were taking the time to do the job right.

One of the things we appreciated most was how clean they left our property. With a toddler and a dog, that meant so much to us. For a job of that size, we were amazed at how spotless everything was when they finished.

Our insurance covered the project, but we ran into an unexpected delay when our mortgage provider changed in the middle of the process, which held up the final payment. I worked directly with Mr. Drewes, who was incredibly understanding and gracious throughout the situation. Their follow-up and communication were excellent, and they made what could have been a stressful situation feel manageable.

I also noticed a negative “review” from someone who didn’t actually have work done and only mentioned finding a few flyers on the ground in their neighborhood. I can confidently say that does not reflect our experience at all. Based on the quality of work we saw and the professionalism of the entire team, it certainly doesn’t align with the company we worked with. They did such an incredible job, that our neighbor also had their roof replaced by Urban Grid.

My family and I purchased an existing home in Mooresville in 2022. It became apparent fairly quickly that the previous owners had failed to adequately care for the property, so it was no surprise that when we had the bad summer storms in 2023 that our roof was damaged. What was surprising was that no roofing company wanted to assist us with the insurance claim because it was a slam dunk until AJ with Urban Grind came along. AJ was very professional and extremely honest. AJ said that he thought insurance would cover our roof replacement, but he couldn't be absolutely sure until the claim was submitted. I was a little overwhelmed just thinking about having to submit everything to our homeowners' insurance company, but AJ was as calm as a cucumber. AJ said he would help us set up the insurance claim and make sure the insurance adjuster had everything he/she needed to make an informed decision and AJ did exactly what he promised to do, and our claim was accepted. AJ stayed in constant contact throughout the claims process, helped us select our new shingles (even came to the house on a Saturday because that was when everyone was available) and closely monitored the install. AJ kept us informed at every stage of the process. I never had to ask what's going on, when are you going to be done, nothing. It's never pleasant when your normal routine is disrupted but I have to say that AJ made the process as painless as he possibly could. It was a pleasure working with him and I would do it again in a heartbeat. I don't think you could go wrong selecting AJ and his crew to do a roof repair, replacement or original install. They were all consummate professionals who took pride in doing their job well.

Thank you Urban Grind, AJ and your team for an amazing transformation! From the onset of the project AJ was very professional. He educated us on the process and the superior product they have to offer. From the beginning with a drone flyover to the completion of the project, this went a lot smoother than I ever expected. AJ even assisted with the insurance adjuster, meeting them onsite and constantly stayed in contact with me through the project and even days after to ensure we were completely satisfied. The team was prompt. They managed and took care of the property during the entire process. Shrubs and landscaping was covered to prevent damages and even removed and replaced landscape lighting, flags or anything that could be damaged during the process. Close to the completion, we noticed the house was missing a piece of aluminum fascia trim. They found it and replaced it during the process. At the end of each day the property was cleaned up and ready for the next phase. And just so you know, this was done in July where the heat indexes reached 98° which felt like 105° but work went on as scheduled! So a great big "THANK YOU" to AJ and the team for an outstanding experience. Highly recommended!
