We had serious leak problems on the flat roof of our brownstone on Hancock Street in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn. Water was getting in around the skylight and along the parapet wall, and after several patch jobs by other contractors we knew we needed a real long term solution. Eric from NY Roofing specializes in Brooklyn flat roof repair and brownstone roofing, and it showed from the start. He inspected the roof, identified the source of the skylight and parapet wall leaks, removed the damaged sections, and replaced the rotted wood roof decking that had been compromised by years of water infiltration. Their crew properly sealed the skylight, reinforced the parapet wall areas, and installed a long term waterproofing solution instead of another temporary patch. Since the work was completed our flat roof has been completely leak free, even during heavy rain and the 2 big snow storms we had this past winter. If you own a brownstone in Bed Stuy or anywhere in Brooklyn and need flat roof repair, skylight leak repair, or parapet wall waterproofing, I highly recommend NY Roofing. They clearly understand Brooklyn brownstone roofs and know how to fix them the right way. ask for Eric and Mike they will treat you like family !

I didn't choose the cheapest estimate. I chose the team that seemed the most competent. That decision paid off. Eric noticed ventilation issues that were shortening the life of my previous roof. Jaime corrected them during installation. I'm near Greenwood Cemetery, and the roof now feels structurally sound.

We hired NY Roofing for a full flat roof replacement on our multifamily condominium historic landmark Park Slope building, and I honestly cannot say enough good things about the experience. We had been dealing with long-term leaking issues for years. It was not just one problem there were issues with the flashing, parapet walls, coping, and overall drainage on the flat rubber roof. Every heavy rain seemed to bring new concerns, and it became clear that patchwork repairs were no longer going to solve it. Because our building is a historic Brooklyn landmark, we were especially concerned about doing things the right way. Their team was careful, detail-oriented, and respectful of the property. They rebuilt and sealed the flashing correctly, addressed the parapet walls and coping, and implemented a flat rubber roof drainage solution that finally makes sense for the structure. The crew was professional, organized, and easy to communicate with throughout the entire project. Most importantly, since the work was completed, the leaks have stopped. It is a huge relief to finally feel confident that the building is protected long term. I would absolutely recommend NY Roofing to anyone dealing with flat roof issues, especially in multifamily or historic properties.

I first heard about this company NY Roofing when my neighbor replaced his roof a few years ago he’s had zero leaks or issues since, so I knew who to call when I started having problems. I had a small but persistent leak near my roof hatch, and after trying multiple handymen and roofers, the issue always came back. From the first appointment with NY Roofing, the experience felt different. Mike came out and spent over an hour doing a detailed inspection of the entire property. He explained that the metal roof hatch had been installed incorrectly and that there was missing insulation outside and throughout parts of the house, which was contributing to the problem. We decided to move forward with a full flat roof replacement, new wood decking, and High Grade R30 Batt insulation in the crawlspace to improve energy efficiency. The NY Roofing crew showed up with about 20 workers and completed everything in just one day including a new skylight, gutters, metal coping, flashing, roof air ventilation and upgraded flat rubber roofing membrane system and waterproofing details. The job site was organized, professional, and impressive to watch. My Family lives in Canarsie, Brooklyn, New York and after 30 years in this house, my new roofing finally feels protected. I’m incredibly happy with the results and now our family has real peace of mind for many years to come. Highly recommend!

I don’t usually leave reviews, but NY Roofing truly earned this one. Before moving forward with a full roof replacement on our Brooklyn building, I did extensive research and asked countless questions — their team was patient, knowledgeable, and completely transparent from the start. Once construction began, the professionalism of the crew stood out immediately. The project was organized, efficient, and ran with a clear plan every day. They rebuilt our flat roof with serious attention to detail, especially around drainage areas and previous problem spots that had caused us headaches for years. We installed brand new wood decking and insulation to the roofing project with all the necessary accessories. The job site was always clean and controlled, which made a big difference in a busy NYC environment. When the project was finished, the roof looked flawless — smooth, uniform, and properly sealed. More importantly, you can tell the system was installed the right way, not just made to look good. If you’re looking for a roofing company that combines real experience with accountability and quality workmanship, NY Roofing is a solid choice. Highly recommended. Thank you to Jordan and his fabulous team
