You can't put a price on peace of mind.We had Mike and his crew out in autumn 2024 to replace the roof we had installed by another company in 2023.In stark contrast to Alpha Roofing, Mike and his crew actually took care of our largest investment, and took pride in their work. If we could do it over again, I wouldn't even bother getting quotes from another company, I would just go straight to Mike.Mike and his team took their time and did the job right. He kept us informed of his progress all the way through, but more importantly, they were transparent about process, the issues they uncovered along the way and how they were fixing/addressing them.As I mentioned, the previous company we hired (Alpha Roofing) compromised the integrity of our home. We had 20+ exposed nails, no starter shingles, no snow/ice membrane and improperly installed shingles (all of which void the shingle warranty and would nullify any insurance claims related to roof, like water damage).Mike took photos of everything for us–all the shortcuts, problems and areas of concern. He walked us through it all and explained how to do it properly. He fixed our roof and helped us with our claim. A real class act.I can confidently say that Mike might be the best money you can spend on your home, because I know what it looks like to pay the wrong people. It's hard to articulate the peace of mind we've enjoyed since Durham Roofing helped us out.And, as a real testament to their quality of their work, we live right on the lake, we get high winds and tons of exposure to the elements–unbelievable snow and rain storms–and their roof has stood up to it all. We got our roof replacement done by Durham roofing (Mike & his team) around mid-April 2023. We had initially contacted Mike in Jan-2023. Due to high winds, 1 of our roof soffit fascia metal strip had been damaged & flown off, leaving a gap & exposed the wood. Due to bad weather, snow etc, we were worried if snow / ice / water, went in, further damage will be done on the inside of attic. Mike responded promptly and we discussed the cost of fixing the issue (by exchanging the damaged area pics), his quote was very reasonable and thanks to Mike, we didn't have to defer fixing the exposed fascia till spring or summer. When Mike came to do the work, he also inspected our roof and told us that there were rotted plywood underneath in some areas and we should get the roof replaced soon. So we told him that this was already on our "to-do" list and we decided to circle back in April & get it done. Mike gave us a 3-day window in mid-April when the weather was OK enough to proceed with the work. His crew arrived on time and finished the work in 3-days. They made sure all the debris upon removal of the old roof was gone & Mike also provided me pics of the damaged area of the ply-board on both front & back side , which they replaced. Although not required, but I went with full ice & water shield under the certainteed shingles, so I am expecting them to last long. I would highly recommend Mike & Durham roofing for all your roofing repair & replacement needs. They are reliable / cost effective & professional. Highly recommended.
