we have been dealing with a roof leak for a little bit, we have slate so it was tough to find someone who still specializes in slate roofs. we were recommended to Rick John Roofing and we are very satisfied. very easy to communitcate with, willing to work with you and the guys that came to do the repair were very pleasant, tidy and did the job well. we would recommend Rick John Roofing to family and friends. (now hoping for a rainy day to make sure we are completely leak free now!!) lol

I generally do not write reviews, but my experience with Rich and his team was so stellar, I had to share.

First, I contacted our tile manufacturer to get contractor recommendations, as I had previously hired a company that specialized in tile roofs, but that had not done a good job for us. The fact that Rick John was among the names provided by Ludowici said a lot to me.

Second, when Rich came to the house, he took time to understand what our situation was, and he even flew a drone so he could get a closer look at the roof to help assess and map out next steps. As opposed to a project price, Rich proposed an hourly rate for the work. I was very skeptical, because I felt like I was giving them a blank check, and I had no idea how much the project would ultimately cost. In the end, however, I see that he was trying to be fair to both of us. His team worked diligently and efficiently, and I feel that the final price was very fair.

Third, when Nick came on site to do the work, he was an absolute gentleman and professional. He was engaging, and took time to update me on what he was finding, and listened thoughtfully as I provided additional information on the issues we had been experiencing. He treated my home and me with the utmost respect, and he clearly takes pride in doing excellent work.

Overall, Rick John provides something that is hard to find in the residential construction industry - - a honest, professional, trustworthy partner. I highly recommend them, and I thank them for doing great work for me and my family.

I had Rick John install a new roof several years ago to remedy an existing leak issue. The leak returned not once, but twice after the new roof was installed and after Rick John did some touch-up work around the flashing along with installing a cap for my chimney. After contacting Rick John personally to fix the issue again (for the 3rd time!), I was given his absolute word that he would solve the problem. As he said, "it's my reputation." I canceled work with other contractors to allow Rick John to complete the work and bent over backwards to accommodate his schedule to get absolutely nothing done in return. His word is worthless and the quality of his work is even worse. I would highly recommend looking elsewhere for any roofing need you have. He talks a great game, but is completely untrustworthy. A 1 -star rating is too high.

Called a few roofing companies who either did not service the area or quoted outlandish numbers. Called Rick last week and sent him a few photos, and he gave me a resonable quote.
His two guys Mike and his partner came out today to perform repairs and I'm extremly satisfied with the results. Guys were extremely professional as well!! Will recommend RickJohn to my firends / family who are in need of roof repairs.
