Five stars. Paul was great and the office staff was amazing. From start to finish, we had a wonderful experience with Ultimate Roofing. My wife and I enjoyed our visit to the showroom and had many shingle samples to choose from. We decided on Owens Corning designer shingle Black Sable - looks great with our new siding. The clean up was great, too!

Ultimate Roofing replaced the roof on my home in the Stockade in Schenectady. They did an excellent, professional job. They took care of the permits and even represented me at the Historic Commission. Paul LeClaire, the sales representative, was great and easy to work with. The office staff was friendly and helpful. Dustin, the foreman on the job, kept us posted on the progress of the work on the day of the job. He and the crew did an excellent job. They cleaned up the worksite and were considerate of my neighbors. The price was reasonable and I would recommend Ultimate Roofing to anyone.
I cannot overstate how wonderful this company is. I had my roof replaced by them on 10/10/2025. I had spent many months over the summer talking to every roofer I could find that had good reviews as this was a large expense and I wanted to find the best company I could. I certainly succeeded with Ultimate Roofing.Shane, who was the person who came to my house initially to give me a quote, is an excellent resource and after speaking to so many other roofers, it was very apparent that he knew what he was talking about. The price was more than fair and the amount and type of work was well described. The presentation included a folder that went into detail about all the components of the work and included samples of the available shingle colors.The roofing replacement work was impeccable and the new roof is beautiful. They put down a lot of protective layers, then added new shingles using special screws that can't pop out; did new flashing/rebooting of the chimney and other piping; put in a new ridge roof vent which I did not have previously, and so much more. The crew was polite and unobtrusive and the entire job took just one day.After the job was done, Joe fixed a piece of window flashing that was sticking out which had absolutely nothing to do with the roof. He just did it to be nice.Kim later called me to tell me they would be coming with a magnet to pick up any last nails. I don't think they will find anything as there is virtually no leftover debris from the work. They did have to put a ladder over some of my plants, which bent them, but I did not care as it is already fall and it is time to cut those plants back anyway. What I could not believe was that they carefully placed the ladder so as to avoid any plants that were still currently in bloom. Who does this?I had asked at the initial visit about a piece of the roof that needed a gutter because the rain drip onto my deck is causing rot and ruining the deck. Even though this had nothing to do with the roof replacement, they actually found someone who could do this work and sent them over to me today.They also said they would see if any one on their crew might be able to fix a hole in the soffit/siding. This also has nothing to do with the roof, but they wanted to see if they could find someone who will fix it and I am sure they will. They said they want to make sure all issues are addressed, even ones that are not part of the roof!Who does all this? I am beyond impressed. I have had a lot of bad experiences with contractors in the past. This was about as far away from that as you can get. I highly recommend them.
