First, I love my slate roof. The rain collected from it can be safely used (unlike asphalt) for gardening. My roof is more than 100 years old, but it needs periodic maintenance to replace cracked and damaged slates. For that, you need craftspeople and I am pleased to have found Doherty Slate Roofing. Their work is careful and skilled. The company deserves its reputation for integrity. You will not regret using this company to preserve your roof so that it will last for your lifetime (and probably your children's lifetime). Maintaining the roof cost much, much less than replacing it every 30 to 40 years not to mention the vastly reduced environmental impact (slate is a natural product). They also installed a new copper ridge that will clean the black streaks that built up on the slate due to the aluminum ridge that was there before.

Jason is a true craftsman that provides high quality slate and copper repairs/restorations for an affordable price. He explained exactly what he was going to do before he started our slate roof repairs and reviewed all the details with us. I have noticed that several of my neighbors have also used his services since completing our roof. I would most certainly use Jason again on my next roof repairs.
