Our home experienced roof damage from a high speed wind and rain event in 2025. I reached out to Mike Mahin at Johnson Roofing, from a prior experience. Mike came out the next day and covered our roof from experiencing further damage without any more details or insurance quotes. Mike remained an advocate with our insurance company, who was not originally helping solve the situation. Part of our challenge was that due to the age of our roof, matching the shingles (faded and dated) to the new shingles that the insurance company required was drastically different. Mike and his team were diligent in reaching out to out adjusters time and time again, submitting pictures, purchasing the shingles insurance required and putting them on our roof showing the drastic difference. The insurance company wanted to only replace the 20-35 shingles that were blown off, which would have looked hideous on our beautiful home. For added fun, we had a 2nd wind event 3 months later, that created further damage to the roof (more shingles blown, etc). Mike asked a team member to come out and DURING the storm was on our roof trying to protect us from further damage. After months of back and forth with our insurance company, and repeated data & pictures, the insurance company finally committed to their part of the damage and agreed that the drastic difference in color was unacceptable. From beginning to end, this approximated 6-7 months until Mike and team could begin the work on the roof. Once confirmed, Mike organized, ordered and installed our new roof. The crew onsite was quick, safe and cleaned up around our home remarkably well. I have not found a nail on the ground yet, and they covered up key areas of our landscaping and our patio roof. Mike was helpful, professional, respectful, and diligent in getting our home protected with a new roof. He could have easily moved on to other roofs, but continued his diligence and educating us on the process. We are grateful for Johnson Roofing in maintaining the value of our home by not allowing subpar, non-matching materials to be on our roof as was originally requested by the insurance. Mike's calm, patient, and trustworthy demeanor is not easily found today, but greatly appreciated.

Mike was phenomenal to work with through the processes of replacing the existing roof. He handled majority of the insurance hassle in a timely manner and kept me up to date the entire time. His crew had the roof replaced with extensive clean up in just one day!

After a windstorm in April, Mike canvassed our neighborhood and noticed damage on my roof (which I did not observe). He stopped and talked with me, pointing out the damage and explaining that he would be happy to shepherd a claim with our insurance company. He took pictures of the damage and we started our claim. Throughout the next several months he worked diligently through the process of getting the roof covered by insurance. All the way through the appraisal process. Once the insurance company agreed to the replacement of the roof, he worked with us to determine the best shingles and color for our home. Soon after, we had the work scheduled. Thee roofing team was efficient and professional and did a wonderful job. We love the new roof. Throughout the process, Mike communicated with us and managed our expectations. Although it was a drawn out process, we were in the know through all parts of the process as he explained what to expect and how things tend to flow. Even when we did have a small issue with the crew blocking us in the garage, we were able to work through the issues. This, by far, was one of the most professional service companies I have ever dealt with. They have a great focus on customer service and take their reputation very seriously.
