Are you even open? I have been by this place several times to buy a panel. There is never anyone there. Locals tell me it is closed and they havent seen anyone there for months. What is going on here?
I had signed the contract to have this company install a 12kw capacity system in Nov of 2024, it did not get installed until Sept of 2025. I would always have to contact them as to where we are at, they kept making excuses and lied several times, the job is still not finished(waiting for some proper, readable decals). Very frustrating working with them. They did reduce the price(I think 1500), but still not worth the pain of working with them. There were some large pieces of aluminum left in the gutters and other wiring cuttings that I needed to clean out.
James made the experience easy with professional, friendly, and informative conversations. He clearly knows his products well and is very accessible. I appreciate how promptly he returns messages. We added solar to our home because of James. Thank you James and thank you to the great installation team. Now bring on the sun and let the savings begin ??
Edited 2025/03/27:The owner, James, contacted me 2 weeks ago after reading my review. He apologized and explained that there was an issue forwarding the query email I sent in Feb so my email was missed. The salesperson had given me incorrect information regarding the snow on the panels, however James assured me that the panels had generated more than the projected amount of power regardless. The staff who had helped me before is no longer with the company. Although I was not happy about the misinformation, I appreciate James taking the time to follow up with me to ensure everything is working and that my questions were answered.Edited 2025/03/09:One of the very first questions I asked when inquiring about installing solar panels was whether I would need to deal with snow buildup, as I was concerned about the weight on the panels and I knew I would not be able to clean them myself. I was assured that the panels would not accumulate snow and were designed to melt the snow off. The salesperson assured me that the snow would slide right off and the panels would function as normal. That absolutely was not the case. The panels accumulated snow just like the rest of the roof and melted at the same rate, which means there was no energy generated for days. It would not have been a big deal had I been given the correct information, however now it feels as if I've been intentionally misled. I emailed the company to inquire about the snow issue and never received a response. I feel deceived and disappointed, so I am lowering my 5 star rating to 2 stars. The panels are otherwise still working as normal without the snow, and are still producing energy/monetary savings on sunny days.Original review:I had a very good experience with Future West Solar and would be happy to recommend them to anyone interested in reducing their environmental impact and electricity bill. I was originally planning to go with another company, but ended up deciding on Future West because they had a local office. I'm very glad I did! They've been just awesome, helping me navigate government grant and loan applications, checking up on my panels after installation, and answering all of my many questions promptly. Dustin and his team arrived as scheduled every time and made sure to clean up afterwards. I could tell they were passionate about doing things the right way.
Our experience with the Chilliwack branch of Future West Solar has been very positive. Their installation team arrived on time each day they planned to be on site, kept our place tidy while working, and left our yard/deck clean when they completed the job. Manager James Forrester has also been easy to work with, responding promptly to my calls/texts.
