High Peaks Solar is a bastion of quality in the solar energy industry. Their responsiveness and hard work are evident in the wide swath of projects they complete. It has been a pleasure providing Kevin, Ken, Tiffany, and their team with office and storage solutions for their various sites. I will highly recommend them to anyone who asks!
Purchased a house in 2022 with panels installed by this company. Kevin has gone out of his way to ignore all of my husbands calls for assistance. We ended up needing to hire another company to assist. They replaced over 20 connectors that were melted to the point that they were a fire hazard. Turns out it was a known issue with these specific connectors (according to Kevin with the company reached out).Kevin must be tired of calls to replace. He screened my husbands calls for over a month, answered a call from my number on the second ring.
Kevin Bailey is dishonest and does not stand behind his work. I purchased a house that had free standing solar panels installed by High Peaks Solar (Kevin Bailey). Upon purchase I paid Kevin to come over and explain the system to me. I was charged $200 for around 15-20 minutes of his time. He stated that if I had any issues with the system, to reach out and he would assist.Fast forward to 2025, my inverter developed an arc fault detection error code. I called Kevin around 10 times, left 3 voicemails, and 1 email. All were ignored. By chance he answered one call a few weeks later and was not helpful whatsoever. I requested the security code information for the system, because according to SMA (inverter manufacturer) the installer had that. He dodged that question 4 different times in the brief conversation I had with him. Told me I could schedule service but they are booked out for many months. Absolutely just did not want to help.22 connections at the solar panels ended up being completely melted and needing to be replaced. When Kevin was approached with this and questioned on the install methods, he admitted that it was a known issue. So why exactly was that not discussed on the phone weeks prior? I had to get a different technician from a different company to look over the system. The potential for a fire at the solar panels was also very high.Today I called Kevin, twice on my phone. Left a voicemail. Waited 5 minutes, called on my wife's phone, he answered 2nd ring (shocker). He claimed no responsibility, stated that the system has been out of warranty for a few years and he gets to choose who he continues to service. Convenient right?Avoid this company at all costs.
Ed Parker sold me on a pole mounted array over fixed panels and I'm very pleased with the ability to adjust the sun angle to maximize the system performance. Kevin Baily was great at working out the details of the system design and I'm happy with how the system is operating. It's been about a month so far and I'm generating very close to our usage. HP Solar was the most competitive with pricing and the savings more than made up for a couple minor items we needed to attend to after the installation was complete. I would definitely recommend HP Solar and a pole mount system.
High Peaks Solar did a wonderful job. They installed our solar power system a little over two years ago, and we are really enjoying the savings. Last year the power generated was just as predicted, and this year is looking pretty good also. Their crew was very professional, and willing to work with me on some special requests I had. I've recommended them to friends, who have been equally pleased.
