Overall sentiment points to knowledgeable guidance and thorough workmanship.

I had 15 REC solar panels with Enphase Microinverters and a 15kWh Franklin battery installed by Custom Solar in July 2025, and I could not have been more pleased with my entire experience. After an initial enquiry to get some information, John Wagner called me and spent an hour on the phone with me describing their services and answering my questions in detail. He then sent me several models for my future installation in order to assess various options and configurations. After a subsequent visit to make sure that my house could accommodate the chosen configuration, the installation was scheduled rapidly. The team who installed the panels and the battery was professional, courteous, and did a terrific job answering my questions and cleaning up the site afterwards. Custom Solar worked with me to make sure I understood how to use the Enphase and Franklin Apps that control the system, and have done a terrific job since then following up on maintenance and making sure that the system met my expectations. Excellent communication, transparency, technical competence, thorough help to complete the required paperwork with Georgia Power and professionalism: I cannot recommend Custom Solar enough!

They certainly put the custom in Custom Solar Solutions. They were able to figure out how to move all of the panels I needed onto my detached garage. They explained the pros and cons of everything to include location of panels, batteries and controllers. Extremely knowledgeable on all things solar and battery storage. Krishan and Maddie did a great job installing a level 2 charger in my garage going up through the ceiling and wall from the basement creating a minimally invasive and clean install - looks just like the brochure instead I’d metal tubing all over the place. Kareem and John really know the Enphase system.

We had CSS add battery to our existing roof top solar panel system. A primary objective was to have power when the grid goes down. A second objective was to have greater grid independence than we were getting with panels alone. I kind of knew what I needed, but not really. Unlike a competing solar service we had approached about the job, the very knowledgeable John at CSS was much more clear about what components and upgrades of our existing system were necessary to meet these objectives. The install was in the spring. It's now the fall. We've sailed right through a handful of grid--down events, mostly during bad weather, with lights and fridge and internet and tv and fans and even AC. (Count me among the fans of the built-in Enphase Storm Guard function). We're using more of the power generated on our roof, too, rather than feeding it back to the grid. We get a lot of days of 98% grid independence now, which feels nice. We also feel very well-insulated from the never ending Georgia Power rate increase regime, which Georgia voters could control if they voted properly, but don't. Finally, and trust me because I've been through a few, we're very fortunate to have a solar provider like CSS in the area offering excellent design AND service/installation. Unfortunately, that's not as common as it should be. CSS talks and walks.

Grant Greeson on Custom Solar Solutions

First, getting a solar system for your house is not something that will happen in a week! After vetting almost every solar company in the Atlanta area, we chose to go with CSS due to their professionalism and honesty throughout the sales process. The team did a great job walking us through the various steps to get our system installed, and they provided answers every time we had a question. When we ran into some issues post-installation, CSS quickly stepped up to make sure things were corrected. Overall, this has been a great experience. We are thrilled with our system and wish we had done it sooner.

Tom and everyone at Custom Solar are the real deal! We have a big system (literally one of the largest installs in the US) and they were the only company I called that actually understood what we needed and how to get it done.

We have a really difficult house to work with. A slate roof from the 70s that is at a very high pitch. The Custom Solar team and their roofing contractors (shout out to Angel!) took on the challenge head-first and made it happen. They worked with us every step of the way to make sure the install was headed in the right direction. At the end of the day, they hauled up 115 panels onto our roof and made them look like they had always been there. They even matched the conduit color to our house paint (shout out to Kareem with the paint skills).

They were meticulous in making sure that every detail was perfect and we were totally satisfied with the results. And when we had a lightning strike that knocked out the system temporarily, they were at our house in 20 minutes to figure out a fix to get things back online. Amazing service and support from these guys!

The results speak for themselves. Outside of the lightning strike, we haven't lost power one time. Our power bills have been reduced by over 90%. We've got energy independence and are so thrilled with the end product. If you're thinking about solar, big or small, definitely make these guys your first call!
