Recent reviews frequently mention responsive communication and clear explanations from the first quote through activation. Feedback also references continued support after installation for fine-tuning and system walkthroughs.

I’m giving Solar Energy Partners 5 stars not because my experience was perfect, but because SEP did everything within their power to alleviate stress and make things right.?? Cole, our sales person, was knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the product. There was a little math issue in the quote and I’m not sure what happened there, but they promptly fixed it once it was pointed out. I committed to solar in September 2025.

With the impending end to the tax credit, SEP was busy and set expectations accordingly. We scheduled an install for November, just before Thanksgiving. There was a combination of bureaucratic delays outside of their control and a couple of avoidable errors with logistics, but both the head electrician, Ronnie, and one of the owners of the solar business, John, personally intervened multiple times to ensure that we were supported through any inconvenience. When Georgia Power required us to have our power off overnight, the team put a generator in to power our fridge and put us up for the night at a reasonable hotel. When our turn-on date pushed out to January due to bureaucracy, and a winter storm was coming, John even made some extra effort to get the bureaucracy moving so that I could turn the system on in time to have house protection from my battery.

Two things to be prepared for if you buy solar in general. First, the bureaucracy with your city, county, and power company is extensive. Georgia Power visits at least twice, and DeKalb County visited at least once. There was an assigned project manager, Mimoza, that I could check in with and who usually had helpful answers. But there will be documents to sign that can easily get lost in a sea of emails, and no alert that it’s coming. At least one delay of about two weeks was squarely on me, as I hadn’t signed a document that was sent but swimming among a ton of other emails. While SEP did handle this as well as anyone could reasonably expect, I think there’s an opportunity for SEP to make the to-do list even clearer and make it even easier to find out whose court the ball is in: theirs, yours, or the bureaucracy’s.

Second, there are some non-obvious things that you may want to be thinking about with solar installation. I was reading a local community Facebook group on general topics, and one of the people on it had bought solar and mentioned needing a pest barrier system for squirrels and birds who would otherwise happily make a home underneath your panels and possibly chew through wiring. No one at SEP had mentioned that to me in my recollection, and I think there’s an opportunity for SEP to add that kind of thing to the standard sales pitch. I mentioned this to John, and he and I worked out making sure that’s added at a fair price.

Throughout the process I felt that there were local, available humans working with me and on my side. Solar is a major purchase and fraught with concerns about whether the technology will work as expected or whether it will cause problems. SEP has a strong team throughout that can make a complicated process as straightforward as possible, and the pricing is fair and all-inclusive; there were no surprises or last-minute add-ons. Given the choice, I’d hire them again, and I’d refer them to others.

The entire process from when I awarded Solar Energy Partners the contract to when we went live with our solar solution was absolutely exceptional. The team was first rate and even during the unexpectedly stressful rush of the last year due to the expiration of the tax credits the team went above and beyond the call of duty and Drove our project down the field and across the goal linebefore the end of the year so that we were able to take full advantage of the tax credits. They were not the most inexpensive vendor, but I had a sense they were committed to excellence and could be trusted . My intuition proved to be spot on. In addition, all of the components, including the two node Franklin lithium battery array, are made in America, annd are all working flawlessly. Even now in the shortest days of the year less than a month out from the winter solstice, we are able to utilize the system for approximately 20% per day of our normal Electric needs. Finally, the flexible system design and configuration also facilitates a turnkey disaster recovery solution where 20% of the battery array is always kept full in case of power failures. This has already been tested in real time with a 30 minute power failure earlier this winter. We didn’t even notice that the power was out everywhere else in the neighborhood. Peace of mind is a hard thing to put a price on, but if that’s what your objective is with respect to incorporating alternative sources of energy into your home then I highly recommend you seriously consider Solar Energy Partners. They back up what they sell with substance, integrity and excellence.

We considered a Solar System for a while and put a lot of research time in to select the best system and company that would be able to get us the results we were after. We are extreamly happy with how well Solar Energy Partners worked to design, install and still works for us in fine tuning the systems setup. We now know we can relax and enjoy the energy savings that we are now getting and will continue to get in the future.

Great experience from beginning to end. Jared was the first person I worked with at Solar Energy Partners. He was extremely knowledgeable about solar products, how to incorporate my EV with the system and how to navigate the utility companies requirements. Next contact was Stefan, he as well was knowledgeable and showed a willingness to help me navigate the solar process. And then Jeremy was the onsite inspector who made sure to answer any question I had during the inspection.
The installers rounded out the experience by continuing the same level of expertise and professionalism.

I worked with Jared Wells and had a genuinely positive experience from beginning to end, even though the "end" for me was deciding that solar didn't make financial sense for our family at this time. I have full confidence that if I had decided to proceed, the install would have gone smoothly and on time.

As I was getting quotes from lots of vendors (both on Energy Sage and elsewhere), Jared was the most thoughtful and responsive sales rep I encountered. His "first draft" design incorporated multiple important nuances that took multiple rounds to achieve with other reps (e.g., splitting our array into two parts to take advantage of both early-morning sun on our east-facing roof, and late-afternoon sun on our south-facing roof).

He also (due to offering higher-efficiency panels) was able to provide a higher production at lower cost, and his was one of the few proposals that covered 100% of our home energy needs *and* I believe would have been acceptable to our power utility for not exceeding historical usage.

Jared had the patience of a saint in answering my myriad of detailed questions about every aspect of his proposed system. In fact, he seemed to appreciate the questions. And contrary to others, he never pressured me to make a decision on the spot (although he was honest that things were getting busy due to the federal tax credit expiring soon). I appreciated that his company offered a fair and balanced "warranty" of sorts, guaranteeing that they'd get the system installed by Dec 31 or else would refund all costs except a fair amount for sunk costs related to engineering design that had already been completed.

Lastly and most telling, when I broke the news to Jared that my wife and I had decided to pull the plug on the solar project (literally the day after I'd had him send me the final contract to review!), he was fine with it. I assumed he'd be sad to lose his commission after all that work, but his response was, "Your family's financial well-being is more important than solar. We absolutely respect your decision!... I am paid on salary sir, you did not waste my time at all! As long as the decision you make is well informed, I have done my job. I enjoy what I do, and unfortunately many people in this industry mislead homeowners, use cheap equipment, or offer predatory financing options that do not position customers to succeed financially."

What an admirable response! If/when we are ready to move forward with solar in the future, Jared is the first person I will be contacting.
