What started as a positive experience quickly evolved into a negative one. We had signed up for the yearly renewal program, roughly $280 a year. It worked for the first year and the program was easy to use. When the renewal came around for year 2, they charged us 3 times in one month. Two of the charges took place at 2:00am. They do not have a phone number to speak with a representative, manager, or supervisor. The only option is an AI chat bot, if you ask it to speak with a human you get someone that tells you that they'll send a report to their accounting team and that is it.We have since claimed the unauthorized transactions as fraud with our bank. Their accounting team has yet to reach out to resolve the issue. Aurora Solar Inc still owes us $588.84. Do not do business with this company.
This is definitely the best solar software tool out there! I have used all other alternatives, such as OpenSolar, SolarGraf, Solo, etc, and they are all terrible. If you want a successful business without glitchy software, this is the way to go.
Aurora is a user-friendly software for solar designs. However, their support is superior to any design support I have come across. Every time I call or chat-in, I am pleasantly surprised to get help anytime during a 24-hour period. Thank you so much, Aurora!
Aurora's software is crucial for the solar industry and is an easy to use, easy to learn asset. It provides limitless data and possibilities. What once took a wide range of speculation and assumptions, is now completely controlled within the Aurora environment. Simulation has never been easier.
We’ve been a long-time customer of Aurora, but unfortunately, the experience has steadily declined. The platform has become increasingly expensive while core features have been removed or sunsetted without meaningful replacements. The Leads tool, for example, was gated and then pulled with little to no notice — and yet pricing stayed the same.Support and engagement have been minimal. Outside of renewal time, we’ve had little to no contact or guidance from the Aurora team, and we’ve been passed between multiple reps, making it extremely difficult to build continuity or explore features that could actually help us.The pricing structure is overly complex and doesn’t scale well for smaller or mid-sized companies. We’ve had to push hard just to get the kind of basic flexibility and transparency that should be standard.What’s most frustrating is the sense that customer feedback isn’t being heard. Aurora feels more focused on defending its pricing than actually working with users to create long-term, sustainable value.We’ve started evaluating other platforms with simpler pricing, better support, and more agile innovation — and it’s become clear that there are now better options on the table.Disappointing to say the least.
