Their salesman came to the door and I have signs saying no solicitation and they tell you we’re not selling anything then proceed to try to sell u solar. Then they get upset and speed off in the neighborhood where there are kids present.

Absolutely the worst purchase I've ever made. Far too expensive and they don't fix items under warranty without charging even more. The install process took months because they don't have all the parts needed and don't remember to come back. I highly recommend to not spend a cent on their product. All their warranties are lies to scam you into buying. Nothing is free.

I have no solicitation sign and yet they still rang the doorbell and knocked on my door. They would start by saying has Excel energy contacted you? Then saying this is not a yes or no answer, excel is moving to clean energy then he proceeds with selling solar energy. Seriously!!! What a tactic, and he proceeded with I’ll come back next time it looks like not a good timing after I said I’m not interested. You’re not Excel energy so stop using their name so you can talk to homeowners and sell your product!

Highly recommend this solar company! From start to finish, the experience was great. The team was professional, easy to talk to, and super helpful with all my questions. They made the whole process smooth and straightforward, from the first visit to the final installation. The solar system completely eliminated my electricity bill, which has been amazing.

If you’re thinking about going solar, definitely go with this company. They’re reliable, efficient, and really focused on doing things right. Even the guy who knocked on my door was respectful, kind, and took the time to understand my situation. That meant a lot.

Came to my door twice so I interrupted a work meeting to answer. They are either unable to read or they have zero respect. I have this sign right outside my front door and I don’t know how to make it any clearer that I don’t want to be bothered. The guy ended his pitch with “we will stop by next time we’re in the area.” No. Do not. I’m not interested.

FYI TO ANYONE WITH A SIMILAR EXPERIENCE
Many cities in Colorado require door-to-door solicitors to have a permit/license, and to respect “no soliciting” signs. I encourage you to contact your city and report them. You can also leave feedback and a complaint with the BBB. You can also report deceptive business practices and violations of the Colorado Privacy Act (such as requiring that you provide additional information to get on their “no knock” list) to the Colorado Attorney General through their website.

RESPONSE: Giving people extra work instead of following the law and respecting their no soliciting signs is unacceptable. I don’t have time to contact every solicitor to provide additional personal information so that I can be left alone, that’s why I put the sign up.

Frequently Asked Questions

Service generally covers Aurora, Centennial, and neighboring southeast Denver metro communities. Availability can depend on your utility and local permitting requirements. A consultation call can confirm whether your property is within the current service range. Project timelines may vary by jurisdiction.

Projects typically begin with a site and utility review, followed by a custom system design and proposal. After approval, the team handles permitting, installation, inspections, and utility interconnection steps. Activation occurs once the utility grants permission to operate. Timelines may be affected by permitting backlogs and utility scheduling.

System designs usually include tiered panel and inverter configurations based on roof space, shading, and energy goals. During consultation you can review efficiency, warranty terms published by manufacturers, and monitoring options. Final selections are confirmed in your proposal before permitting.

Production depends on system size, orientation, shading, and your energy use. Many systems offset a significant portion of annual consumption, but actual bills vary by season and utility rate structures. A proposal will estimate expected production and potential bill impacts for your address.

Support is available by phone and through the company’s website. If you experience an issue, have your system and account details ready so the team can review monitoring data and next steps. Response times can vary based on call volume and scheduling in your area.
