Alissa was very helpful. I called several Solar Installer today and the people they have answering the phones are not helpful at all, so it was good to have somebody that actually wanted to help. I’m currently pursuing partnerships in Maryland in order to find a trusted solar installation company I can work with. I will update my review when I hear back.
I have had solar panels for almost 2 years. The panels have an investment that have been paying their way to breaking even. From time to time I have had the need to contact Renewable Energy for their assistance and they have responded quickly to our issues and have not charged us for these services. Their management team has always created systems that assist tge homeowner maximize the systems at a reasonable and competitive price.
Amazing experience with Renewable Energy Corporation. Cody and Tenai were awesome to work with, and the admin team honored the $2K rebate with no issues. They also stayed on top of DC permitting to make sure everything was installed before the end of the year so I could get the tax credit.This is my second time working with this team, I installed 8 panels last year and added 5 more this year. Professional, competent and quick - Sam Jahnigen began the process with us and clearly described all the aspects of obtaining solar panels. Everyone we worked with was skilled, knowledgeable and pleasant. All answered any queries we had rapidly. The installation went smoothly and well! They are a fantastic company! Five stars!
We had our solar system installed by Renewable Energy Solar about 2½ years ago, and our experience has been consistently disappointing.During the sales presentation, we were given very specific projections for cost savings and energy production. I still have those numbers, and they turned out to be completely inaccurate. Our actual results fall far short of what we were told to expect.The installation itself took several months longer than promised. When it was finally completed, a large portion of the system wasn’t even functioning. It took multiple visits over several more months and different crews to correct the problem. Throughout that entire process, there was almost zero proactive communication. I had to call repeatedly just to find out what was going on.At one point, I became frustrated and unprofessional —and I called back to apologize. Regardless, the lack of transparency and follow-through from this company made an already stressful situation worse.Since then, the system has provided none of the financial benefit we were promised. We still pay nearly the same for electricity as before and now have the added solar payment. The SREC payments provide minimal offset. To address the obvious response the company often gives in other negative reviews: our electric usage has remained the same as before installation. We have had multiple in-depth reviews and analyses performed by the company since installation. Each time they confirmed the system is “working as it should,” yet they offered no solution or benefit to bridge the gap between what was sold and what was delivered.About a year after installation, a manager called to check in. I explained that the system had been a financial burden and had not delivered any savings. He then told me our roof was too steep and faced the wrong direction for maximum production—information that clearly should have been disclosed before the sale, not after the system was already installed. Our roof angle and orientation have not changed since the beginning. When I mentioned that, he quickly ended the conversation, and we never heard from the company again.Our overall experience has been defined by poor communication, lack of accountability, and unmet expectations. The system may technically “function,” but it does not perform anywhere near what was promised when we decided to invest in solar.If I could give one piece of advice to others considering this company, it would be to get every projection in writing, independently verify system design assumptions, and be cautious of overly optimistic savings claims.We truly regret choosing Renewable Energy Solar and would not recommend them based on our experience.
