Customer feedback highlights mixed experiences. Many note successful orders, accurate parts, and helpful assistance with deliveries and installs, while others cite delays in communication, order status updates, and documentation concerns for code compliance. Pricing is generally viewed as fair for parts, with variable satisfaction on timelines. Responsiveness and clarity around certifications are recurring themes.

This place is a nightmare to deal with.

Over a week ago, I ordered an EV charger and I have no idea of its status. I have no idea because they don't answer their emails in a timely fashion and the person on the phone has absolutely zero support in getting the info on orders.

3 days after ordering they sent me a support email asking me if I super duper wanted this charger, as configured. Seemed like weird question seeing as how I shelled out over $1k for it, you'd think I'd know what I wanted. Turns out they didn't have the item I wanted in stock and were trying to get me to buy the other one. Why not just tell me that straight up? Why do I have to wait until 4 days later to find out you're not shipping the item I want because you still don't have it in stock.

It's not a big deal if you don't have the stuff, I don't care but stop wasting my life by having me wait for something that isn't coming. Absolutely infuriating. You have one job and still manage to make a dog's breakfast of the whole thing.

A Real Commitment — or Just a Casual Chat?

I was in intermittent contact with this company for close to a year as a homeowner seriously preparing for a solar installation and was ready to proceed once final contractual details were clarified.

To protect myself long-term, I proposed a written addendum to clearly define responsibilities and risk allocation related to roof integrity, maintenance, and liability. This was not a decorative request — it involved substantive, binding terms that materially affect a homeowner’s long-term exposure.

I was initially told we were “on the same page” and that the addendum could be signed. However, once it came time to formally integrate those terms into the contract, communication stopped entirely despite multiple follow-ups.

That silence created a pause which allowed me to reassess the investment more carefully. Combined with the lack of engagement on contractual clarity, it became clear that we were not aligned in how risk and accountability should be handled, and I ultimately decided not to proceed.

I am sharing this so other homeowners understand the importance of insisting that key responsibilities be explicitly written into the contract — and paying close attention to how a contractor responds when asked to do so.

Took a bit to get the right products and set up delivery but overall excellent experience. Shout out to the delivery guys who delivered outside their usual area. Finally finished the install. Very happy! Shout out to Chris and Simon for the install!

I purchased what I feel is a large order. Roughly $7000 CA. All of the equipment was listed as UL and csa certified. After receiving all of the products, (panels, inverter, battery) only one had proper documentation and stickers to conform to local regulations. I would be very hesitant to place an order with this company. Everything worked as it should so I will not say that the product is faulty just that it will create problems with the inspection authority. Be very careful with what you order from this company.

I placed a tiny online order with them ($50) and they shipped it quickly, the product arrived safely and was exactly what I needed. Some places wouldn't even give me the time of day since I wasn't spending $5000+, and others that are listed as distributors for Kinetic didn't have any of their products! Just needed some replacement parts for my solar powered gate.
