Customer feedback is mixed but leans positive, noting helpful consultations and thorough explanations from representatives like Kyler and Jarod. Many reviewers highlight responsive communication from sales staff and clean, quick installations. Some recent reviews report delays, limited scheduling updates, and difficulty reaching the right contact during post-install steps. Pricing value and solution options are mentioned positively when communication remains consistent.

joseph Harrison on Sun Solar Illinois

The scheduling/communication was awful for most of the 4 months it took to get completed. Throughout the entire project the only communication was when I initiated it.

Even after completion, no follow up letting me know it was ready (or what I need to do to turn the batteries/solar on). The only person to contact me was an Ameren worker letting me know he had competed his inspection. I wasn’t expecting to have to turn everything on myself, but being that no one had contacted me up to that point it seemed like that was expected.

I encounter three issues (battery, misalignment of one panel and net metering) that I again had to initiate communication about.

Support sent a tech out to address the battery issue, but i ended up having to get the net metering issue resolved on my own. (didn’t even bother with the panel alignment issue, tired of dealing with it)

UPDATE: Maybe the worse decision I’ve made recently. I really hate leaving bad reviews but I need to. I’m not sure where to begin because of all the issues. My install took over a month and finally might be functioning. When I call to complain I keep getting the same person and they transfer me to the same person and nothing gets done. Everyone is very friendly but it feels like a run around. I did talk to a lawyer about my options. I know a bunch of people with solar and they all love it. I feel like choosing Sun Solar for my solar system was a bad decision. After a few weeks of low performance a crew was at the house for the third time and finally has it making power. Not sure yet if it’s what it’s supposed to make but better than it was. 2 weeks of making power and now the system is down completely and not making power. Part may take 2 weeks to get in. Can’t make up all the headaches with this decision.

I was skeptical about getting solar until I met Kyler with Sun Solar. He took the time to explain everything to me and it ended up the best experience! I have had solar for almost 6 months now and I can message Kyler anytime and he always helps answer my questions. 10 out of 10 I will always recommend
