We had an exceptional experience working with Great Sky Solar from start to finish. The entire process from the initial consultation through installation was smooth, professional, and well organized.The sales team took the time to explain the system, expected production, and all of our options without any pressure. There was no high pressure sales pitch or gimmicks. Just straightforward information and honest answers. They answered every question we had and made sure we fully understood everything before moving forward.One thing that really stood out was that, between the sales process and installation, they sent an installer to inspect our roof to make sure it was suitable for solar. That gave us real confidence that we didn’t need a roof replacement (it was only a few years old) before installing the system, which we appreciated because it showed they were focused on doing the job right rather than just making a sale.They also handled all of the design work and paperwork from permitting to coordinating with the power company making the entire process incredibly easy for us.The installation crew was equally impressive. They arrived on schedule, were courteous and professional, and completed the work efficiently while keeping everything neat and organized.Communication throughout the entire process was excellent. We always knew what the next step was and who to contact if we had questions. Overall, it was a great experience and we’re very happy we chose Great Sky Solar.
We had our 30 panel install during 2018, choosing Great Sky out of about 6 quotes, primarily based on competitive pricing, good equipment recommendations, and a very transparent and personal upfront design process. Very good people to deal with. From initial down payment in March, things went very smoothly and we were up and running by August 1st.We took all tax breaks in the 1st year and started collecting SRECs in 2019.We received a refund check from Great Sky in 2019, as promised, because actual outputs did not fully meet predicted levels of 10MWh per year. However, the system has been running at 85-95% of that level so far, and would do better with fewer trees.Based on combined returns from rebates, SRECs, and net-metered returns measured from utility bills, the system paid for itself after approximately 5-1/2 years (near the end of 2024).It's been over 6 years of problem free operation and to say we've been satisfied is a serious understatement. We are looking forward to 14 more years of savings, with the idea of adding batteries at some point.I've always recommended going solar to interested parties, and recommended Great Sky to those in their service area. The support relationship has been "Great"
I had an excellent experience with Great Sky Solar! The team was great very professional, efficient and accommodating —including being willing to travel as I live in Western Mass. The smooth installation of solar greatly reduced the cost of energy in my 100% electric house while giving me the satisfaction of using clean, renewable power. The admin/tech team has also been extremely supportive during the assessment and installation, and very helpful in the years since, patiently guiding me through regular upgrades and questions. Great Sky is a very good company. We did some shopping around before deciding and learned that Great Sky was the most up-front and knowledgeable of anyone in the area. They answered our questions and explained the process and expectations clearly. Once we signed, they quickly moved through all the processes and kept everything on schedule. The installers were professional and respectful to our home. We were especially happy that their prediction for what we could receive toward our electric bill reduction was very close to reality. They didn’t oversell. I would recommend to anyone looking for a solar provider to contact Great Sky.

A major factor in our decision was that Great Sky Solar offers a solar generation guarantee through a third party—this showed real confidence in their system design and gave us additional peace of mind.We ultimately went with 2x PowerWall 3 units and are thrilled with both the performance and the seamless Tesla app monitoring.Rebecca was our project manager and an absolute rock star! She proactively reached out when an earlier installation date opened up, getting our system installed in July. She expertly managed all the complex coordination with the town and Eversource for permitting, interconnect/export agreements, REC credits, and rebates.The onsite crew was exceptional—electricians Tony, Jesus, and Trung along with installers Silas, James, and Chris were all meticulous in their work, thoughtful about discussing different options for battery placement and conduit routing, and kept everything organized and clean throughout the installation.What truly stands out about Great Sky Solar is that they use their own full-time installers rather than subcontractors, and you can see the difference in the quality and care.
