IPS did a great job with my install. There was a hiccup (wrong part) but they owned the mistake and made it right quickly! The crew were great to work with and talk to and the process was pretty smooth.One nitpick is that they initially indicated an east-west install is about 5% less efficient, which was surprising to me (other installers say the same), but the math on that shows 15-30% less and that's what I've observed throughout February (about 30% less output from my east-west panels than my south facing ones) so would prefer more knowledge there for others, but I did my research ahead of time and deliberately oversized to account for it.But yes, as far as installers go IPS gave me the best price for the components I wanted and had the most honest sales folks. The crew, project manager, and sales team were all a pleasure to work with!

From our initial consultation through the design, permitting, installation and city approval processes, each team or individual we worked with was professional, helpful and friendly, and all the deadlines were met. We look forward to seeing our solar panels fully in action during the spring, summer and fall, and we intend to work with Independent Power again for heat pump installation.
IPS did an outstanding job designing and installing our ground-mounted photovoltaic system with battery storage. It took less than four months after we received the proposal to completely install the system.The management team was thoroughly professional, polite, efficient and well organized. The crew were an amazing group of men who arrived on time, went right to work, worked hard, were pleasant, and filled us in on each step of the process.A key reason we chose IPS is the high quality of the components, all of which are made in the USA. The crystalline silicon solar cells are on the order of 22% efficient and warranted to maintain at least 90% of this efficiency for 25 years. The lithium ion phosphate 15 kWh battery storage system has a 15-year warranty and lets us operate at night and during cloudy days without using energy from the grid more than 95% of the time.We highly recommend working with IPS and plan to work with them next year on a heat pump installation.Ten stars out of ten!_____12/18/25 - Yesterday, there was a violent windstorm in our county (and across much of Montana). The power went out. But because we had battery storage charged by the solar panel, we did not lose power; in fact we had ~9 hours of power "in the bank". I cannot say enough about what a great investment having the solar and battery storage system is. A dear friend in Kila lost power and has to spend the next several days in a motel. If only she had a solar + battery storage system! Thank you again, IPS.
