Luminex Solar is listed as operational in Charlotte with weekday hours and limited Saturday availability. Public reviews mention product knowledge during consultations and mixed experiences regarding installation timelines managed through partners.
Homeowners often look for clear proposals, responsive communication, and straightforward timelines. When considering Luminex Solar, review recent project references, confirm who will perform each project phase, and verify equipment, warranties, and interconnection steps in writing.
Primarily serving Charlotte, NC and nearby areas; confirm service coverage and utility interconnection requirements for your address.
Based on public listings and reviews, Luminex Solar focuses on residential solar projects, including consultations, system proposals, and coordination of installations through partners. Exact in-house versus subcontracted work is not fully detailed in public sources.
Reviews are mixed but generally positive overall, with several noting helpful explanations and a smooth experience from consultation to completion. A recurring critical theme highlights delays and communication gaps when third-party installers are involved. Customers suggest clarifying responsibilities and timelines at the outset. Recent feedback appears limited, so checking current references is advisable.
For those who may not know, Luminex is just a marketing company. They DO NOT do their own solar installations. This can bring great pains beyond the contract phase, like it happened to me. Signed a contract for solar August 2022, no install until January 7th 2023. Then the actual installer, Sigora Solar, stopped any communications, even to the point where Luminex could not get anyone to answer them either. From there, I was on my own. I had to hunt down people on my own with the city’s help (2 months went by and Sigora had not even attempted to schedule a post install inspection with the city, and they were the only ones with the ability to request one). I ultimately had to report them to the better business bureau. From contract signed in August 2022 until today, late March 2023, the solar panels are not active. My sincere recommendation is that you look into a solar company that actually does their own installs and services them. Luminex won’t be able to help you at all if their failure of contractors do what they do best—ghost their customers when all is paid in full (Sigora does not even handle their own calls, they go to an answering service, at which point you are at the mercy for anyone to call you, and to this day, no one returned dozens of calls and emails). Best stay away!
