Google Review
James Castañeda on Family First Solar Electric

Thought I reviewed this company already! I guess not, and only realized because my father asked me if I was satisfied with my solar install and didn't recall them having so few Google reviews! I guess I'm part of the problem!

Anyway, I had been shopping for solar for YEARS. It seemed every quote I got was just SO insanely padded with commissions and I dont know what all, that I could never bring myself to pull the trigger. Granted, the actual cost of solar also did go down in that five year span, but the most recent quotes I got (besides national chains like Mona Lee, Project Solar, and Tesla) were much higher. Those other companies were still higher, just not a whole lot higher. But Tesla's equipment is mediocre, with the old centralized inverter tech with no optimizers, etc. and the other two had a very impersonal, dispersed feel. They had their sales, who claimed to know what they were talking about, then they had their engineers, then their installers... and their message was rarely unified.
With Family First, though I did talk to probably three different employees over the course of the whole span, I mostly just spoke to Anthony who was very well versed in everything related to the project. When I did have to speak to others, the message remained consistent, or they checked in with Anthony himself.
Everything went smoothly. They listened to my input and got me the system I was looking for at a great price.
The only thing I can't comment on is their devotion to making things right if there was an issue or warranty claim... as, to date (about two years post install) I've never had an issue.
I'm kind of a Google reviews nerd, so if I have any updates, you can count on hearing about them here in the future.

this company is working in my neighbors apartment today and they drilled a hole from that apartment right into my bathroom. they did not apologize and as a woman home alone i was VERY scared. i was standing right next to where the drill went through.

the men working told me that their boss “checked that the wall was an exterior wall” before they drilled. there was no boss in sight. i’m not quite sure how they wouldn’t notice that the building continued after that wall. you would think that they would double check a wall before drilling a hole into it.

absolutely terrible.

I have to share my experience with anyone who has solar installation projects. After going through two companies, one worse and less professional than the other, I found Family First Solar Electric, managed by Anthony (owner), who installed everything needed for the final inspection in record time at a cost 50% lower than the others, although the quality of the installed equipment was unmatched. Anthony's service was impeccable from start to finish. Thank you Anthony and team.

Anthony and his team at First Family Solar did a fantastic job of removing and reinstalling our solar system so that we could re-roof our home. Pleasant, punctual and extremely professional. Great communication all the way through the process. Recommend highly!

I wanted to give a shout out to this company! They had great customer service and got me a quote to provide to my homeowners insurance company to get my solar panel replaced. Straight bullet went through our solar! Thank God no one was hurt! And the job was approved and completed!
Thank you!

Note: always get a quote from the required trade company for the fixture, before or asap before filing your insurance claim! This stuff can be pricey! $$$
