RV and Marine Solar was exactly what we needed. We already had a couple of solar panels and had upgraded to lithium batteries, but our system still wasn’t cutting it for how we camp. We boondock most of the time, and it was frustrating having to run the generator just to use the coffee maker, toaster, or other small appliances. Our inverter would only power the residential fridge, so things like watching TV, using the recliners, or even running an electric blanket meant firing up the generator.I secheduled a consultation with Ryan, and he came out to our RV to evaluate our current setup and discuss what we wanted to accomplish. He took the time to explain several options and followed up with a detailed email outlining his recommendations, including equipment lists and different configurations we had discussed. After ordering everything, we scheduled the install. He showed up exactly when he said he would and worked nonstop. I’m pretty handy, so I worked alongside him during the project, which was a great experience. The installation is clean, professional, and now our entire trailer is powered the way we hoped it would be.Money well spent, we can finally boondock comfortably without constantly running the generator. Highly recommend!
Ryan and Trevor were great. Prompt and worked efficiently. Glad we got to work with them. Ryan is an encyclopedia on solar, lithium, inverter, etc. Thanks for being a good teacher. Looking forward to working with you again.
We were blown away—10 stars!I contacted Ryan after a friend recommended his excellent RV and Marine Solar website. Our small RV needed solar, a lithium battery upgrade, and likely an inverter as well.A close friend of mine who is a trained RV tech joined me for the initial meet-and-greet at my home. After spending about an hour with Ryan, we knew he was the right person for the job. His technical knowledge and experience are top-notch—there was never any doubt. We ended up with everything we wanted, including a 3000-watt inverter. Ryan’s process of collaborating on the parts list and then sending it so you can order everything yourself is brilliant. You never feel like you’re being overcharged. His labor rates are very reasonable—honestly, a bargain for the quality of work you get. He even fixed a couple of small issues in my rig at no charge!Having all the work done in my own driveway made the entire experience incredibly convenient.Ryan (and Trevor) were amazing. Their attention to detail is off the charts. If you need solar for your RV or boat, don’t hesitate—give Ryan a call.
Ryan from RV and Marine Solar recently overhauled the power system on my 2015 Beneteau 38 sailboat, and the results are outstanding. He replaced the old lead-acid house bank with three 300Ah Epoch lithium batteries. To support them, Ryan installed three 400W solar panels with three MPPT 100/30 charge controllers, along with a DC-to-DC charger to safely handle the alternator output. He also rewired my existing inverter to integrate perfectly with the new setup. This was a complex install involving new cabling, shunts, bus bars, and fuses, and Ryan’s workmanship was meticulous. He is clearly an expert in his field, ensuring everything was mechanically and electrically sound. He even took the time to update all firmware and train me on system maintenance. After six months of use, the system is working flawlessly. Ryan is a true professional with a great attitude. I highly recommend him and RV and Marine Solar for any boat or RV power upgrades.
Ryan certainly had his work cut out for him when I approached him as the 13th business to evaluate a proprietary solar power system developed by a reputable YouTube influencer that was meant to be a DIY project. Twelve businesses before him had given me all sorts of bad service before finally rejecting the system design, but not before they charged me for all kinds of things I neither asked for nor wanted them to do. Ryan LISTENED without cutting me off as the others did, and, he did so without once insulting my intelligence, dismissing the resourcefulness of the system’s designer (who was using value-priced components which he thoroughly tested), or disregarding the fact that I was financially in too deep to abandon the components I purchased which were not returnable or refundable. There was definitely a learning curve for both of us in terms of coming to a middle ground between what I had to work with (which wasn’t much more to spend), the level of utility I was aiming for, and simply what needed to be done to modify the system to do as much as we could both afford to invest in time, energy, money, and patience. So, I believe we settled on adding a couple more quality components that made sense to spare some extra cash on to allow me the option to charge my battery bank with my generator as well as the solar panels and shore power. Ryan was thoroughly professional and even sang happily during one of his install sessions! I need to preface this compliment I am about to pay him with a plea: do not use my praise as a free license to impose upon his kindness and generosity! Ryan really rose to the occasion in giving me extra time and effort when he understood the kind of person I am and that the bad things that happened to me were not because of me. I would not wish this build on him or anyone again, but I know he learned something different having come through the challenges this system presented. I am embarrassed that it took me this long to give him a great review, but again it is a reflection of my trying circumstances and not on the interactions that I had with him. I would gladly ask him to re-do my system in a few years when I can save up enough to do it the best way that he sees fit and can not trust just anyone else having gone through the worst service throughout the first year of my being a full-time RVer. Yeah, and you know what that meant— I had no access to my “home” the whole time. I recommend Ryan wholeheartedly for your RV or mobile solar power system installation!!!
