Review for Semper Solar – San Diego

My husband and I chose Semper Solar in San Diego because we believed they were a reputable and trustworthy company. Unfortunately, our experience after installation has been very disappointing.

We later discovered that the warranty provided was only one year, which was surprising considering the significant investment solar systems require. Recently, my husband noticed that one of the lights inside the power box was off. After contacting Semper Solar, one of their panel technicians helped troubleshoot over the phone and informed us that one of the panels was defective/broken.

Following their guidance, my husband ordered the replacement panel. After the company confirmed they received it and contacted us to schedule the installation, we were then told that it would cost $950 just for them to come out and replace the panel.

This was extremely frustrating to hear. We did not damage the panel ourselves, and it seems unreasonable to charge customers such a high service fee for a panel issue after the system was installed by their company.

When customers invest thousands of dollars into a solar system, we expect a company to stand behind their product and installation. Charging nearly $1,000 to replace a faulty panel does not feel like good customer service or support.

We hope Semper Solar will reconsider situations like this and provide better support for customers who trusted them with such a large investment.

The installers were great, much faster than I expected! Showed up at 8am and were done by noon. One Tesla Powerwall and 12 panels. So excited to save money. Genevieve has been a blessing and great to work with. Call Semper Solaris!

Amazing experience working with Rhami Hasenin! He is SO on top of it and an all-around great guy. As soon as we met Rhami, we knew our search for the right solar provider was over. From start to finish Paul and the Semper Solaris Team walked me through the process from quote / design / permits / install and set up. If and When I had a question, the response time from Paul was immediate and the answer always clear and to the point.

As someone who is technologically challenged, Paul and the Semper Solaris Team made the process understandable and painless. My Solar experience has been about as good as a home project can get!
