Customers frequently praise the installation crews for professionalism, clear explanations, and help setting up monitoring. Some reviews cite delays between installation and final activation, as well as challenges with interdepartmental communication and status updates. Service technicians are often noted as thorough and flexible when troubleshooting older systems. Pricing feedback is limited, but responsiveness varies by department according to recent comments.

This company appears to lack internal coordination and organization. Communication between departments is clearly disconnected — one hand does not seem to know what the other is doing. The process has been unnecessarily prolonged, and unless you have three years to spare, I would advise caution before moving forward with them.

That said, I want to highlight David from sales. He has been exceptional — very dedicated, always returning calls, consistently available, and genuinely trying to resolve issues created elsewhere in the company. His professionalism stands out.

I would also like to acknowledge the installation team for the hardware and solar work. They are hardworking and professional individuals.

Unfortunately, the office operations and administrative side of the company are extremely disorganized, which significantly impacts the overall experience.

Overall satisfied. It took 3-4 visits because we have an older system that needed a newer monitoring model. I had to follow up seversl times to find out what was happening. Drew was the tech on the last 2 orc3 visits and was grest! He explained everything and was very thorough, flexible and communicated well.

Guys were great to lend me their sealant and ladder. I had to do it myself because per Company law, they can’t fix the leak when it’s not their fault but our roof leaked happened just right after the installation. Probably some of the installer hit our vent and created a crack to cause the leak because it has never happend before. Anyways, I got no issues with the guys who came and checked it.

We started looking into solar companies and had it narrowed to 2. Ultimately we decided to go with Solar Tech. We signed the contract in late September, and we were promised it would be installed and running within a month at the earliest, and before the end of the year at the latest. Now the men who installed the panels were fabulous and they did it all in 1 day. Then nothing happened, no calls, no updates, no inspections. We were in the dark about what was going on, when it would be turned on, nothing. We emailed and called just for updates and always got the run around. 1 month turned into 4 now and we are still waiting. We've run into problem after problem that no one wants to solve, nor communicate with us. We've tried to be understanding with the holidays, maybe some life problems or sickness, even busy with other customers of course. But we are being ignored, and our patience has run out. We have now been bumped up into a higher tier with our power company, which wouldn't have happened if it had been finished when they said. To give people an idea, the project is stopped currently because we need a label, and we've been waiting for a MONTH. For something so expensive you would think that there would be better customer service, more professionalism, and more appreciation for the money we are spending. I am giving 1 star because the men who installed the panels were amazing, and because I can't give 0 stars. If they ever decide to finish our project then I might change my rating. For now I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. If Gary On Your Side hadn't retired, I would be calling him.

Great job done by Solar Tech team. After a few minor hiccups system is up and running. Great job done by installation crew, especially Anthony Aranda. I was very Impressed with how knowledgeable and professional Anthony was on installing my system and going over with me how the system works and setting me up on the App.

Frequently Asked Questions

SolarTech installs residential and commercial solar PV systems, battery storage, and solar pool heating. The company also assists with permitting, interconnection, and post-install monitoring setup.

Installation work can often be completed in a short on-site window, but overall timelines depend on permitting, utility approvals, and inspections. Some customers report delays during the approval phases, so plan for additional time beyond the physical install.

SolarTech performs troubleshooting and can update monitoring hardware when compatible. Repair scope may be limited by system age, parts availability, or warranty terms that apply to the original installer.

Battery retrofits are possible in many cases after evaluating inverter compatibility and code requirements. A site review helps determine the best configuration and whether upgrades are needed.

After panels are installed, inspections and utility interconnection must be finalized before the system is energized. You will receive guidance on using the monitoring app and who to contact for follow-up questions.
