From the beginning to completion, the team was very helpful in clearly explaining how the solar system works and walking us through the entire installation process. Honest guidance and we did not feel pressured to being upsold. The team explained every step clearly, answered all our questions quickly, and handled the permitting and utility approvals so we didn’t have to stress.
Everyone we worked with was professional, courteous, and knowledgeable, and they took the time to answer all of our questions. The installation went smoothly, and the whole process was well organized from start to finish. Our system has been performing exactly as promised, and our electric bill dropped almost immediately. Celestial came highly recommended by our neighbors, and they did not disappoint. We were trying to get our installation by the end of 2025 to take advantage of the tax credits before they expired. Jim was completely honest with us that due to demand, he would not be able to complete setup by year-end. Despite that, he was able to install our system at a great value which would be help offset the lost savings form the tax credit.

Jim was available for all of our questions throughout the process and Celestial has great customer service. They are all local and the team was happy to work for Celestial. I highly recommend Celestial to anyone who is interested in solar and local Maryland business.

Jim presented the options for our home clearly and with various output levels, storage options and costs. He answered all our questions clearly and his crew installed the system efficiently and left the site clean and tidy. Inspection schedule was clear and on time. They also facilitated the connections with the energy credit trade companies answering our questions along the way. Their follow up was timely and the system is running great! Love the $9 utility bill even with a half month under snow.

I couldn’t be happier with my experience working with Celestial to install residential solar. They came highly recommended from my neighbor. Between our roof estimates and solar estimates, I met with a bunch of contractors. Some are clearly just trying to make a sale. Some are pushy. Some you can’t wait for them to leave. Some you don’t feel you can trust. Jim I trusted through and through. There was no question that we wanted to work with Jim. The whole crew is very professional, respectful, super responsive and available, patient with questions (and I had a ton!), knowledgeable, etc. It was frankly a delight as far as contractors go. They get an A+ for communication. I always knew the schedule and what was happening next. Jim has also followed up after the installation as well to make sure everything is good and to see if I have any more questions. This also came together at the end of 2025 after the federal tax credit was cancelled effective in 2026. Even though Jim was crazy busy and quite uncertain if they could get it done in 2025, he still took my call and met with us (some companies wouldn’t even return my call or email). He was very upfront and honest about the likelihood of it happening in 2025. In the end they were able to get us in on time, which was awesome. This truly was the best contractor experience I’ve had, and going solar is a huge investment and a big deal (at least for me it was), so having someone like Jim to hold my hand through it and provide me assurance that it would be done well was super appreciated.

I am not surprised they have so many good reviews. Celestial Solar is a very honest, straightforward company that is a breeze to work with. They installed solar panels for us about 8 years ago. Jim came up with a really efficient approach to locating the panels on our roof and the system has been flawless since then. We wanted to add batteries for the past couple of years and I could not find any installers willing to work with us (Celestial Solar just started installing batteries). When I found out Jim had just expanded his business to include batteries, I knew I could complete this project. It took a few months because of the backlog of work but I was happy to wait. They did the installation in 3 days including the installation of a subpanel. The installers were very neat and helped me make sure I had all the circuits I needed. The installers answered my questions and configured the system correctly. Jim was very communicative and it was a pleasure working with him. The battery system meets all my expectations.

He focused on optimizing panel placement, system sizing, and aesthetics rather than trying to oversell anything, which we really appreciated.

Jim Reilly and the Celestial Solar Innovations team have been nothing but amazing in our solar journey from start to finish. We interviewed 4 different companies looking for the best fit for our goals and after the meeting with Jim it was clear that Celestial had earned our business. It didn’t hurt that Celestial had been recommended personally by two engineers at my firm. Jim was communicative and informative in a way that makes you feel respected as a customer. At no point during the project did I feel like we were left in the dark. Together with his team they designed our system to perfectly fit on our roof and at the lowest cost per kWh out of the 4. However, the customer experience, craftsmanship, and materials were a testament to the quality they bring to the table. Jim is an upstanding guy and we will be shouting Celestial’s name from our new rooftop.

I’m very happy I chose Celestial Solar Innovations for my home solar installation. From the first sales visit to activation, everything went smoothly. Jim was responsive to all my questions, and the REC panels were ideal for my roof’s orientation and shading.

Since installation, my electricity usage from Baltimore Gas has been zero, and I’ve banked over 2,200 kWh in credits. The installers were professional, accommodated my equipment location requests, and consulted me when changes were needed. I’ve even started receiving SREC income.
