Customer feedback is mixed. Positive reviews frequently mention tidy, efficient installations and crews that finish in a day. Themes include responsiveness and post-install support consistency.

The sales rep that came out was good. We signed the contract, panels installed but we are not able to use them. They had a technician come out and she was not able to fix it. She reported back to them, no response. I had to call several times in order to have them send someone. A company came out but didnt hear back from them or you until I had to call. I have been calling every week but I feel that they dont care. I am still not able to use the panels until this problem is fixed. This has been going on since November and is still not working.i would differently not recommend 5hem to anyone.

To add to my post that they sent me a email with the ticket but there has been no repsonse.

Service after the sale... bah!!

I had a microinverter go out. I called them now mind you they have access to the system and can do diagnostics of the system. I also told them I followed the trouble shooting guide to reset the inverters. They know a microinverter is out. I call them on the 22nd they say they will call me to setup an appointment. So I wait and wait... and wait. I finally call them two weeks later and the first words out of their mouth is "did you pay for your quote?".

I was never told to pay for it. Normally you would wait to see if they you know... show up. Well they somewhat showed up. They came out and looked around for 25 minutes and left. They charged me $350 for that and then didn't fix the problem!!!

So today they want to charge $450 to replace a microinverter. Now again the materials are under warranty so this is pure labor. $450 for less than an hour of work and no assurance that they will actually fix it!! This place is a fraud!!!

Terrible with communication. It has been about 30 days since I made a deposit and they have submitted a permit with mistakes on it. When trying to reach them for 2 weeks, they have not answered a single call or email that I have sent. This is just so extremely disappointing and frustrating. I do not recommend moving forward with them if you would like to go solar.

My mid west installers were the cream of the crop crew! Killed it! 12 hours of commitment and time they spent with my house. They went all day! Crushed it. Helpful, kind, considerate, efficient and friendly. Grateful for a beautiful install! My sales associate, Josiah started it all. Leading with education, honesty and patience. I grew up with solar panels and knew I wanted my own someday. So happy I made the choice with Blue Raven!

Blue Raven designed a system that was within our budget. They use top quality products. The install was done in a timely fashion. They showed up on time and finished the same day. The install was top notch. No shody looking work and was installed seamlessly into the house. There are other companies that could have done it cheaper but with inferior products. Always do your home work you do get what you pay for at Blue Raven.

Frequently Asked Questions

Homes with unshaded, south- or west-facing roof space often see the best production. Roof condition, available square footage, and local utility interconnection rules also matter. A site visit or remote assessment can estimate expected output. Final system size depends on your energy usage and roof layout.

The on-site installation for many residential systems is commonly completed in one to two days. After installation, utility and inspection steps can add additional time before activation. Scheduling can vary by jurisdiction and utility timelines. Your coordinator should provide a project timeline with key milestones.

If monitoring shows a component issue, the provider typically submits a service ticket and arranges repair or replacement according to equipment coverage. Response times can vary based on parts availability and crew scheduling. Keep records of dates and communications to help track progress. Contact phone support if you do not receive follow-up as expected.

Standard grid-tied systems shut down during outages for safety. Power can be maintained during outages only if your system includes compatible battery storage and backup configuration. Discuss backup goals during design to ensure the right equipment is specified. Utility interconnection rules also guide how backup is set up.

Check system size, equipment brands, layout, and production estimates, along with assumptions used. Review pricing, payment terms, and any included service coverage. Ask about permitting, interconnection timelines, and who to contact for post-install support. Confirm how monitoring access and performance reporting will work.
