The thing we most appreciate about Lucas is his communication skill.Solar installation is a construction business. Construction is inherently fraught with various surprises and delays. Throw in a measure of post-COVID supply chain disruption and it makes for a tricky business to stay on top of.Lucas kept us well informed about the status of our solar installation. If there was a delay he’d let us know what and why, and how long it might take to resolve.For hard to forecast issues, like electrical inspections or utility approvals, he’d let us know that aspect was out of his control but would tell us that in his past experience it typically required a minimum of X to a maximum of Y to complete that part.From talking with him it’s clear that Lucas really cares about the solar business and his customers. Quad City Solar is more than a job for him, it is a mission.If you want a company that really cares about their customers and the solar industry, Quad City Solar (and Lucas) is hands-down the best choice.
Lucas did an outstanding job of helping us get our original solar energy system specified and helped us chose the optimal components for what we wanted the system to do.Utilizing lead-free components was very important to us so he really beat the bushes to find the RoHS compliant REC solar panels. He also wasn't afraid to build in the daylight backup capability even though that technology was fairly new at that time.In addition to his solar technical knowledge & construction experience, Lucas has an authentic passion for the solar energy business that is very evident from talking with him.He also has a good customer focus, strong communication skills, & can manage projects well in order to keep things moving. He’ll bring in experts, such as Master Electricians as necessary to make sure things were done correctly.If you want a contractor who knows what they're doing & who truly cares about the business, the customer, and the environment then Quad City Solar and Lucas are the ones to go with.
These guys did a good job. Lucas took care of everything from the sale to the permits and paper work for midamerican. From start to finish it took 6 weeks. From what I've heard from others this is fast.
