Solar Power & Light listened carefully to our desires for an installation--although I had little knowledge or vocabulary for the issues, proposing a system within our budget. They took care of all city and county permits. Once Dayton stopped dragging their feet, they moved quickly and installed the system within a day. They accompanied the required inspectors. The team at Solar Power & Light installed our initial 32-panel ground-based solar array in 2018. From the start they did great work and were knowledgeable at the many details of design and installation. And they were also friendly and easy to talk to. They even put up with our two puppies stealing their tools during the installation. :)In 2024, we added a battery to the system, which required some upgrades to manage power storage and allow the system to run when the grid is down. The installation went smoothly, everything looks great (impressive), and the app makes it fun to monitor the real-time power exchange between the solar array, the battery, the power grid, and my house.Recently, our system stopped generating power and showed an error light. SP&L responded quickly, diagnosed the issue, and had us back online in no time. Once again, their team impressed me with their professionalism, friendliness, and willingness to explain details to help me better understand the system.After working with SP&L over the years, I can confidently say their workmanship and customer service are consistently better than what I’ve experienced with many other contractors working at my house. We love our solar array and especially enjoy those months when our electric bill goes negative!I’ve recommended Solar Power & Light to others and will continue to do so.
