Michigan Solar Solutions did a fantastic job helping to select and install our solar panels and battery system. Carl Szumlanski from sales was AMAZING. He met with us multiple times to make sure we were comfortable with our decision and was extremely patient and knowledgeable. Based on our budget and goals, the MSS team was able to help guide us to the right solar install and battery system for our home. Our install team including Tony G, Jim H, Michael R, Devon R, Tait B, Seth B and Chip were wonderful. They installed 16 solar panels in 1 day and, when we had an issue with our electrical panel, they coordinated with our electrician and scheduled the remainder of the install for another day. They were always available and made me feel secure knowing that if any problems came along they would help figure it out. Cannot recommend them enough!
I had to get a new roof and it required taking my solar panels off to do so. The original installers of my panels had since gone out of business, and I was struggling to find someone who could help me. I reached out to Michigan Solar Solutions and they responded to me quickly and worked with me to set up a date to have my panels taken off days before my roof was set to be installed. Mike B., Rei D., & Russell J. came out and uninstalled my panels in less than a day which impressed me very much. When they returned they also reinstalled them in less than a day which impressed me even more as the original installers took two days and also did not seal properly which lead to water damage inside my house. During the installation there was a microinverter that needed to be replaced but had not yet arrived, so Michigan Solar Solutions did not charge me the second half of my invoiced amount until that piece was installed. Additionally, I have seen no interior damage related to my panels to date, which proved to me Michigan Solar Solutions was better at installation than my original installers.I wanted to rate this as 4.5/5 because the workers (Mike B., Rei D., & Russell J.) were very friendly, knowledgeable, and fast, but the scheduling of the reinstall is what made me not give a full 5/5. The panels were set to uninstall on 10/20/25, two days before my roof was set to be replaced on 10/22/25. I told the Michigan Solar Solutions scheduling team that the roofers estimated to be done by 10/24/25, and they did complete the roof installation by that time, but my panels were not set to be reinstalled until 11/19/25. I had hoped to have all of the installation of roof and panels wrapped up around the same time, but went a month without my panels.All in all the work was superb and I definitely recommend Michigan Solar Solutions, I just wish the gap between uninstall and reinstall was shorter.

Mike, Rei, and Russell helped uninstall and reinstall our entire solar system for a roof replacement, while also adding pest deterrent. I got an 8-panel 3.6 kW system installed for $14.7k, tax included. I compared other solar installers, and Blue Raven said the system I could get DTE to agree to given my usage would be too small for them to even give me a quote. Freedom Forever and MSS were neck-and-neck, at least after FF offered a better deal when I told them about MSS’s quote.The sales rep - Carl S - discussed tradeoffs, walked me through the system’s capabilities, and was responsive to texts throughout the process. My thanks to the installation team who were timely, effective, knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. They completed their work in about 5 hours.
