Gold Path Solar

My wife and I finally hit our limit with constantly rising electricity costs last summer and decided to move forward with installing solar. We started by using EnergySage to gather quotes from multiple installers. The first quote we received was from Gold Path Solar — they were highly recommended on the platform — but we didn’t commit right away and ended up collecting about 6–7 quotes total. In the end, we chose Gold Path Solar because they were the only local company among the quotes, their pricing was very competitive, and we had come across a number of concerning reviews about several of the nationwide installers. Working with a local team felt like the right decision — and it absolutely was. We worked directly with Alex throughout the process, and he was fantastic. He was informative, transparent, and kept us updated weekly so we always knew where things stood. The installation and final system turned out great, and we’re more than happy with how everything came together. Overall, we’re very glad we chose Gold Path Solar and would recommend them to anyone considering solar.

I had a great experience working with Gold Path Solar from start to finish. Alex provided outstanding customer service throughout the entire process and always returned my calls promptly, which made communication easy and stress-free. The project stayed exactly within the quoted price—there were no price overruns at all. Gold Path Solar also did an excellent job addressing concerns from both our HOA and the electric provider, handling those details professionally and efficiently. The installation team arrived on time and completed the install as planned, with only one minor, unanticipated hiccup that was quickly resolved. The crew was professional, courteous, and clearly took pride in the quality of their work. Most importantly, Gold Path Solar completed the project within the time period originally proposed. I’m very happy with the experience and would confidently recommend Gold Path Solar to anyone considering solar. Installation in Columbia, SC Electric provider: Dominion Energy HOA ARC approval

I've been using my solar array from Gold Path for about 3 months now, and I am completely happy with the purchase. I don't get to say that about too many things. I got estimates from 4 different residential solar contractors. I went with Gold Path because of their competitive price and there great reputation. I purchased a 37 panel array. Their excellent crew had it installed in one day, minimizing the disruption to our electrical service. There was a potential problem with the installation of all 37 panels, but the crew and I worked through it and got the full number put up. (I recommend that the homeowner oversee the installation, if possible). The biggest frustration was waiting for AES (the utility company) to approve the installation, but both Gold Path and I were unable to effect that process, so no complaints there against Gold Path. The whole time, Paul (my single-point contact with Gold Path) was very friendly and helpful explaining what to expect as well as answering any technical questions. He recently had his own solar array installed, and that was evident in his answers to my questions. I would definitely go with Gold Path again. Since then it has been smooth sailing, and I still get excited when a sunny day is forecast. I am literally driving my electric cars with sunshine!

Working with Jake and the Gold Path Solar team was a great experience. They simplify the project in steps, provide guidance along the way, and answer questions no matter how big or small. From the first call to the completion of the project they never disappointed us. They also provided the best price and made it a true pleasure working together to accomplish our dream of going solar. I would recommend connecting with them if you’re considering going solar for one of many great reasons!

I am so happy I went solar! It’s been something I’ve wanted to do, and thought about doing since 2020. I know 6 people who went solar and all from different companies, and all have a variety of products setups and power needs. But each of them were impressed when I told them about the service I received, the product warranties, and the convenience of having a direct contact to get all the answers I needed. I asked ALOT of questions…Whether it was about the solar equipment, install procedure, app, SRECs, and questions about how net metering works and more. Even when one of my panels was slightly underperforming, all i had to do was text Jake Trubiano (CO-Founder of Gold Path Solar btw). I received about 6 or so quotes for my house, and I did it initially because of the competitive price I got, the longer product warranties, the quality of the product, and Gold Path Solar had the best reviews and an award to go with it. My solar install has been complete since the 3rd week of July 2025. And my energy usage month after month has been 0 kWh on my bill! Actually, I’ve been sending back over 100kWh to the grid each month so far, but billing graph just doesn’t show negative energy use. Having solar is an amazing feeling, and having a team that knows how to communicate, provide incredible customer service, and make me feel like I’m supported in this investment is the best of both worlds. There is plenty of Solar companies to chose from, but the others don’t carry the full package like Gold Path Solar does. Talk to Jake, you won’t find a better guy to work with for your solar project, and you won’t find a better team to make it happen!
