We decided to install solar panels on our house last fall and used Glean solar brokers to help guide us through the process. After reviewing the quotes we chose Great Canadian Solar for a number of reasons including reasonable pricing, equipment selection and sizing and their many years of experience in the solar industry.

Ryan has been our main contact there and we have been very happy with how professional, honest and straight forward he and the Great Canadian Solar team have been throughout the design, permitting and approvals process the past few months. They have been great about answering our questions and have always provided very timely responses to our e-mails and phone calls. We are looking forward to having the system up and running this spring and highly recommend using Great Canadian Solar.

Among a few quotes from reputable companies, I decided to go with Great Canadian, because I sensed Ryan the salesperson was quite honest and friendly. Being honest is not common to see among salespeople. Also, the price and process were quite reasonable. In general, I consider this is a company that could be trusted.

Although I looked forward to having them install the solar panels for me, in the end due to my roof issue, I had to give up what I had planned and find another solution, but I would like to give them a good review based on my experience. Thanks Ryan, for all the time that spent on my project and had gone so far.

I just had a system installed by Great Canadian the beginning of July. I found them by going through the Solar broker Glean who had Great Canadian as one of his 3 recommendations. I found their quote to be the most detailed, easy to read, and they offered a payment schedule that matched the greener homes loan advance and final release of funds. They also offered the best price per panel. That paired with their size and experience in the industry and the vouching by Glean made them a fairly easy choice.

After choosing them I found their communication level to be disappointing. I had to email them multiple times for confirmation on initial site visits, install dates and other pertinent information. On the day of install I was not contacted until after I reached out again for confirmation, that they would not be able to make it that day.

I also would email one individual and get responses from others days later making it confusing to know who I should go to for answers to pertinent questions.

The work was done in 3 days with each day being a partial day. Once the work was done I had to contact them again to schedule in an inspection

With such a significant purchase I would hope for better customer service during the process and not feel like I have to chase for information. This would have been a 4 to 5 star review if the process between signing the initial contract and install was easier then it was.

That being said so far the solar is working great and the work that was done on site looks clean and well done. The app they set you up with shows you the energy made and is easy to understand.
