Recent reviews often mention effective system performance once projects are completed, with several noting helpful sales explanations and follow-up. Customers frequently praise installation crews and clear walkthroughs at turnover. Some reviewers report delays or lapses in communication during scheduling or after installation, leading to frustration until issues were escalated. Overall ratings skew positive, but expectations around timelines and responsiveness are recurring themes.
I warn anyone considering to go with Zeno to please rethink that decision. I have never been so disappointed, discouraged and frustrated with a business before. The hard thing to accept is that I thought I did my research to go with a reputable company. I was sadly mistaken. As others have mentioned, communication is sometimes absolutely horrendous. I'm talking weeks to a month of being ghosted by this company. I followed up with emails, and phone calls numerous times about status and questions with no avail. It was so bad I thought I was a sucker that was getting scammed.I had 3 projects lined up with these guys (signed 2 up in September and 1 in October) who mentioned to me that I should go through CEIP (Clean Energy Improvement Program) with my municipality and that Zeno will handle everything for me. They will set you up on a loan through a 3rd party to cover their 25% deposit until the CEIP will take over. They said I would have solar in 3 months which sounded too good to be true. This is a great sales pitch for you to get sucked in and them to get their money. The thing they didn't mention is that CEIP approval actually takes more around 5-6months. Then if the program is full for that municipality, CEIP will waitlist you until the next round of funding is released which can take another year. Additionally, you are still required to get Fortis approval which takes another 2-3 months. I was unaware of all this and just trusted Zeno. It wasn't until I started to do my own research that I truly found out the correct information. I had a problem with this as I am going to sell my 1 house for the spring market. I requested cancellation, and this is when I was ghosted for weeks. It's been over 2 months and I still have yet to receive my money back and the loan cancelled. When I finally did get a hold of someone I have been told excuses after excuses as to what is taking to long.During this time is when I also got waitlisted for the CEIP program for my other 2 properties. I am not about to wait over a year to potentially get solar installed. Plus by then Zeno put such a bad taste in my mouth with the communication and consistent over promising and underdelivering that I requested the other two to be cancelled. I also felt cheated as I once again thought I would have solar in 3 months as that is what I was told. I have been chasing to get answers and my money back for months with no avail. I finally get through to the VP of Sales who assured me that he would process the cancellation right away and would be settled in 4-5 days. It's been 1.5 weeks and I still haven't got my money back and still chasing it.As a business owner myself, I highly appreciate honesty and communication. Give me the facts straight. I have been consistently over promised and under delivered. Simple communication and honesty would have gone a long, and if I would have received that, maybe the circumstances would be different.Do yourself a favor and stay far away from Zeno. Find someone local and reputable.
My initial experience was lukewarm at best. We signed with Zeno, and a plan was drawn up, and we waited, and waited for installation far too long. I contacted Zeno directly to complain and spoke with Gursh, one of the company’s founders and executives. He and I had a very productive conversation in which he apologized, gave me time to let off steam, did not make excuses, and said he would make it right. I have to say I was impressed, because he did exactly that. That day I had several conversations with their planning experts who sent a site assessment person out that very afternoon. He asked me where “the big shade tree“ was (it was the reason I was to have panels on the garage and some on the house). I told him the tree (neighbour’s) had been storm damaged and removed) That instantly changed everything! He redesigned the panel placement, giving us a larger power yield for less money. Installation took place yesterday and today and the system will be activated tomorrow morning. The workers were exceptional! They arrived exactly on time both days, worked efficiently and safely, and left our property spotless. They explained everything involved in the installation and we couldn’t be more impressed! Gursh was a man of his word. He vowed to make it right, and he absolutely kept his word. I am very impressed with the company’s honest, head on approach in smoothing out the early issues and doing an exceptional job in the end.
Got my installation done a year ago now, from the beginning where I met with the representative to working with the install team and having the project completed, Zeno has been nothing but great! Now that I've had a full cycle I can confidently say there would be no other company I would rather complete a solar project with... I've had a zero dollar electricity bill and have been building up my credits monthly.Would Highly recommend zeno to anyone, especially for a big task like this.
the guy name Jesse Johnson was explain us about the solar panels that were installed in our house. we should not be paying electricity bill after couple of months of the solar panels being installed. It been over 6 months now, since we installed the solar panels. We still paying more than 70% of the electric bill every single month.for example, before installing solar panel. Our electricity bill is $200.00. after installed solar panel $150 months. What is the point for installing solar panels.?Not recommended.
The team at Zeno did a great job with my solar panel system, from start to finish. The quote process was good, and Stephan was very knowledgeable on the technology and helped me with any questions and concerns I had. They were responsive and able to start ahead of schedule. They made sure all issues were resolved before turn over, and followed up more than once to confirm everything was working well. Would recommend them to my friends and family.
