Contacted Beacon Solar and Ryan in sales was quick to respond. He evaluated multiple options and listened to our preferences, providing a detailed proposal quickly. Communications were great. Installation crew was awesome, completing solar panels on two roofs ( house and detached garage) in one day. The lead electrician walked through installation for the batteries and electrical panels with us, and the installation was outstanding. Great communication and responsiveness throughout. They also managed all permits and coordination with our local public utility, as well as inspections. Very happy with the quality work from Beacon Solar.

First, would I use Beacon again? The answer is yes.
We had a few snafus, which was not surprising due to the complexity of the project. Some were due to the inspectors being incorrect, some delays due to the utility, some due to misunderstandings between myself and beacon staff--usually because I did not ask the correct person a specific question. Also we added a second battery mid-project, so we had to modify the contract. Regardless, Beacon was usually very responsive. The install was seamless. Everything seems to be working. Ryan, the project advisor, was very knowledgeable and available (within reason of course) to answer questions and address concerns. So, if you are thinking about solar, I suggest including Beacon in your installer search list.
One suggestion is, if the pitch of your roof is low, you might want to discuss with your solar advisor about options to remove the snow from the panels (heat, roof rakes, etc), because the snow won't necessarily slide off. This is important if you loose power due to a blizzard.

I got in touch with Beacon Solar to sort out a maintenance issue with my solar system. The company I purchased it from wasn’t responding to my service requests, and I was eager to resolve the problem. That’s when I met Ryan, one of the most dedicated and helpful sales representatives I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. He quickly identified the issue, and after a service visit, everything was resolved.

Ryan and I stayed in touch. I was considering getting a whole-house backup battery system for my solar installation, and Ryan patiently answered all my questions until I was ready to purchase. This wasn’t a quick decision for me because I needed to thoroughly understand what made the most sense and why.

Once I purchased the battery, every step of the way through the design, planning, installation, and inspection processes was handled perfectly with great care and professionalism.

I highly recommend Beacon Solar to anyone looking for a home solar system, battery, expansion or support.

Many Installers were not willing to do repairs but Beacon Solar not only helped us in a very timely manner, but the technician was super knowledgeable, efficient, and very pleasant to work with. I spoke to many of the solar companies in the area, and wanted a company who was reputable, had a good amount of experience, who self-installs and services their own systems, and who envisions being around for the road ahead given the long-term investment.
