I had a great experience with the team at 8MSolar. They were the price leader for my system and installed about a month ahead of schedule! Communication with the team was easy, and they did a great job handling the county inspection and authorizations with the utility. I'm really glad that I went with 8MSolar.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND.***UPDATE*** As a result of your comments below. We did not request "free" We requested at cost.. meaning that whatever the equipment costs we would pay, and install for free as all the errors were borne by 8MSolars efforts, or lack thereof.Your installers told me that the did not work as salaried employees for 8MSolar.That they were Independent Contractors hired on a per job basis.I don't know if any company is worse, or any better. These people fail to follow up on many aspects of the transaction. It appears that they could care less about anything other than collecting payment. They miscalculated our needs by nearly 1/2 resulting in our still having a significant Utility bill (while having promised me a net-zero bill... their words) . They not once had a Licensed Electrician on site. When you call them out on being dissatisfied, they threaten to walk away from the project (once they've already received a portion of payment). And threatened to cancel our applications with the Utility resulting in complete Solar reapplication process.The installers did a great job, but they were not employees (as promised).We simply had a horrible experience with these people.
I had heard pretty good things about 8MSolar, from my friend and relative. After getting the quote, I end up going with 8MSolar. I am glad I went with them. The service is exemplary, no one was able to beat their price in Concord, NC and their communication was quick and to the point. They took their time to explain me everything and were able to answer my every questions since it was a big investment. Installation and inspection were scheduled without any delay.I would surely recommend 8MSolar. Good job guys.
I’ve got my solar installation done from 8MSolar. Signed for the project in June & installation was complete by September 2025. They were prompt in all their communications, setting expectations & all the due diligence in getting all the approvals. I recommend them for any of your Solar Project needs.
Working with 8M Solar was awesome. Extremely professional and squared away. They did not try to add gimmicks or unnecessary complications regarding financing to the solar project. The financing was easy to do and I good a great rate on my loan. They did an accurate assessment of my electricity needs with projections for future electricity requirements when I purchased an electric vehicle. Their projected kilowatt energy production of my solar panels was extremely accurate. My project was 13-panels, Tesla Power Wall and 240V EV charger. The quoted price was accurate from the start of the contract until completion. There were no hidden fees or financial surprises. Installation went great, it was done in a day and with the Duke Energy approvals I was up and running within a week after installation. Lastly, they provided a veterans discount which gave me one panel for free. Simply an excellent group to work with. 8M Solar rocks!
