Recent feedback is mixed. Positive notes mention helpful sales representatives, successful add-on panels, and relief from annual true-up bills when paired with batteries. Critical reviews cite unmet expectations, communication gaps after signup, cleanup issues post-install, and delays on promised accessories. Some reviewers recommend getting all terms in writing and verifying scope before installation.

I regret ever signing a contract with this company. They're absolute thieves. I was promised huge savings, but the reality is my "True-Up" bills go up every single year and that doesn't include what I pay the company every minth. I don't even have a pool or a Tesla, yet I’m stuck paying $2,000–$3,000 at the end of every year.
?The panels are junk and don't do what they’re supposed to do. When I complain, their only "Solution" is to try and sell me even more crappy panels, which just risks more damage to my roof.
?I’m not the only one having these problems—I’ve talked to others in the same boat. Do yourself a favor and do not install their solar panels. It’s a total scam and the worst financial decision I’ve ever made. Negative Zero stars if I could.

We got set up with additional panels and battery back up and now we don't pay a trueup anymore. Andrew Matteucci helped us get set up he was so nice and patient with us and really helped us out big time.

This company is all about getting you signed up and their commission. Dont sign with them unless you do your home work and have everything on a written contract, the things they promise you upfront. I have to beg for what I was promised for upon signing up, for the bird guard and electric car charger. Dont go off their salesman words, get everything in writing, I am still waiting on the electric car charger, and I have been told same answer multiple time, "our sales manager" will follow up you, but they dont, so, once you signed the contract, you are no longer their priority, so be careful with them especially the sales people.

STAY AWAY FROM SUNRUN!
They are liars and crooks! They send their salesmen out door-to-door to rip people off! I already had solar panels on my house; however, I wanted to have a few more put on to bring my electricity bill down especially during those summer months. These two guys came into my backyard, sat down at my patio table, I offered them lemonade and they started to talk to me about what Sunrun can offer. I was a little bit leery about these guys, so I did take pictures of their badges which they agreed to. They told me I’d be getting more panels, two batteries and a couple of other things in the garage. They told me I didn’t have to pay for the equipment and that the equipment belonged to them. I told them that this was not my house, but it was my mom‘s. They said no problem. All the equipment was installed and they told me I would not get my first bill for 4 to 6 weeks. Well, I got my first bill which was from August to September and it was $235 and I thought to myself that’s not right cause I didn’t use all that energy during that time. Then I got my second bill, which was also $235 for September through October and I told myself this is not right. I started texting and calling the sales people, and they did not respond to me at all. They knew what they had done….they were avoiding me! Then I called Sunrun snd told the guy I was very displeased with these bills and I wanted the equipment removed immediately. He said you signed up for a 25 year contract and I said no I did not. He said well I can send you the contract. He sent me the contract and sure enough it was a 25 year contract. It said I had to pay $235 every month for the first year and then every year after that it goes up 3.5%. Are you kidding me?? Do you really think I would’ve signed up for this if that’s what I knew I would be paying!? No way…I couldn’t afford it! Now I’m paying Sunrun on top of paying for my PG&E bill. I haven’t worked for three years now since I’ve been taking care of my mom who has Alzheimer’s.
How do you people live with yourselves knowing that you’re ripping people off!?
I’m going to do everything I can to fight this!

I decided to have Sun Run install solar on my home. My home is mature in a mature neighborhood. After initial instillation I was appalled at the poor clean up on my property. We were stepping on screws etc. the electrical panel had been taken apart with wires and breakers exposed. The panel is a Zinsco and needed to be replaced with an updated model. This is usually done but was not for some reason. After several calls they did send out another technician to fix the problem. The panel did not get upgraded and the breaker to my Tesla car charger continued to flip off until they put in a new breaker. Now I’m waiting on another inspection. What an ordeal for obtaining solar energy.
